Hello fellow squonkers!
Looking for input on the following...(sorry this is long and a wall of text, but I am in a pickle and beg your indulgence)
I was really hoping for a good experience with the forthcoming Pulse 80w, but with the recent scandal, despite previously being a fan of Tony B, it has all left a sour taste for me, so for now, the Pulse 80w is out. I dont care any more.
That pretty much leaves the RSQ or the Hcigar VT Inbox v3 as regulated squonkers. Prices are close with US vendors the RSQ is about $65+ship and the Inbox v3 is on Fasttech for $66 with MAP.
I'd rather keep to this price area and am not interested in another mech squonker nor any Facebook groups, or mod-makers that only exist via instagram or Facebook...
I do NOT want the COV Wraith. I don't like the hand-feel nor how the bottles work. The Gbox and others in this size are also too big for me. The Ijoy Capo has no boost converter and is limited to 4.2v/3.7 before voltage sag.
Since owning/using the Pulse BF, Druga squonk kit (and loving both) and previously an original Pico 75w (amongst many other mods) I am now
spoiled for
smaller mods, but I did buy a Lost Vape Drone and loved the customization options for a DNA chip with Escribe, but the Drone, with 2x 18650s and full juice bottle was too big and heavy and felt like a brick in my hand, and I sold it after only 30 days. This was my first DNA device and I am surely now a bit fan of both the performance and customization options via Escribe.
I downloaded the HotCig software for the RSQ and was VERY underwhelmed, especially compared to Escribe, Arctic Fox, or even the Eleaf stock settings editor for PC.
So I am kind of stuck now.
Ideally, I'd want the customization like the DNA chip, mainly for TC with SS316L, but I'm afraid it will be bigger and heavier than I'd like, but while the RSQ is small and feels great in the hand, the HotCig software seems severely lacking.
I realize that I am also going to be giving up on using the 2x700 batteries with these mods, but I've already got enough LG HG2s and Samsung 25R5s and 2 good external chargers (I only ever charge in the charger) and mostly just chain vape at home while working at my desk, so it's not a big deal to reach over and swap in a new batt every 4-5 hrs or so.
Also, Mooch has announced that his initial test results on samples of the Sony VTC6a's out-perform both the LG HG2 as well as the Samsung 30Q batts, but we are not likely to have access to these batts for maybe a year from now. So there is hope for improvement with this size battery down the road.
So, please help me VU-Suonking-Kenobi's - you are my only hope...
