Stainless steel GAUGE parallel COIL

Hey guys!
I've been searching a lot and i decided to use stainless steel material to create my own COIL (stainless steel GAUGE parallel). I know that there exist other materials such that kanthal a1 or nichrome 80,90.
The problem is that i found different types of wires related to this material, for example:
-Stainless Steel Gauge Wire
-316L Stainless Steel Gauge

Which one should i use?Why?

Thanks!

I use 316l. Be aware that is has a lower ohm than kanthal. The guage you're referring to is the size. 26g,28g.its how this the wire is. Also measured in mm. So all wire has a guage.

Yeah, i need a stainless steel 26 GAUGE wire :)
Sorry, what do you mean by: "Be aware that is has a lower ohm than kanthal"?

A 7 wrap of 26 kanthal with have a higher ohm than the same coil of ss. It's just the metal itself. First pic is a kanthal coil second is ss. Same coil. Just about half the resistance. New to making coils I suggest getting a coil app and ohm calculator. I use an app called Vape Tool. Also steam-engine.org has both as well.

It's no issue with ss coils. When you preheat them just fire until it has a low glow. Get it where both coil glow from the center outward. YouTube videos are a great help

Actually, SS is so close to Kanthal (see 28awg), that I have given away all my kanthal.

As a general-rule-of-thumb, kanthal is a redundant-redundancy ;-) Yeah, in some cases you want an extra loop of SS, or a larger ID, or a smaller awg or... Well, be creative ;-)

I like 3mm id, 26ga SS316L 10 wraps parallel in my wasp nano at around 30-40 watts.
Works out to around .35 - .4 ohms.
Note this is a parallel single coil not 2 coils although you could do 2 10 wrap coils in parallel as well.
And get thew same resistance.

All SS have a grade, 316L is a grade
