Disney shareholders were given a sneak preview of the upcoming standalone film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
According to Slash Film, a sizzle reel and images of new Stormtroopers and characters played by Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, and Donnie Yen were shown at The Walt Disney Company’s annual shareholder meeting in Chicago.
Speaking at the meeting, Disney CEO Bob Iger said, "It’s our first original standalone Star Wars story. It’s about a band of rebels who are plotting to steal the plans for the Death Star." Explaining to the shareholders the film is set "right before the events in the very first Star Wars movie," Iger told the crowd "I can’t wait for you to see it; it’s in theaters this December."
