I just read this on an issue of Vaping Press. Was wondering if this is actually the case where you can not vape within 25' of any Starbucks, even the outside seating area.

Really?

Yup,, I read about that at least 6 months ago..
Love me some coffee though..
black with 2 scoops of sugar,
but could care less about overpriced designer type stuff..
I do have a friend who works for them, although I've never heard him say anything about it.. He vapes as well.

Stopped going there a long while back when they no longer allowed smoking in the outside seating area. Used to love smoking cigarettes with a nice cup of coffee though ;)

Cant believe it myself. I have never frequented Starbucks because of their overpriced cups of Joe but now it's written in stone. Makes me wonder if their buisness is flourishing due to this decision.

I wonder what their reaction would be if someone were to blow a nice cloud into the drive thru window.....
just sayin,, I'm in my car, I do what I want..

Yea but I am pretty sure you would have to take a loan out to buy a cup of coffee just for the priviledge of doing that.

I say a bunch of us vapers meet at a Starbucks collectively blowing clouds of 100% vg from rda's, just so we can watch the manager cowering into a fetal position. :D

I love the fact that here even though you can't smoke indoors many places still have no problem with vaping. I can vape in several local bars, Buffalo Wild Wings, Applebee's, TGIF and a few others. I do have my own rule of thumb. I will not vape in a regular restaurant that doesn't have a bar or in any regular department stores or malls. And places that I have vaped I always ask first.

IBeing that I relatively just started Vaping, I haven't had the chance to get out in public with my new found friend but have been to Walmart on several occassions and have Vaped in there, doing so on isles where no one is standing gawking at the product on the shelves.

hate to break it to the original poster, but, there are multitudes of cities with multitudes of businesses where smoking and vaping is not allowed within 25 ft or even 50 ft of an entrance...its a city ordinance...

....people still spending 5 bux on coffee....lol. They did the vape crowd a favor. Go to Kmart and get a coffee pot....drink home brewed coffee on your porch with your friends and family. For 5 bux, you can make 5 pots of coffee....Then you can get more juice for your vaping needs.

more and more stores have been forced to remove the no concealed weapons plaques from their stores, after getting hit with lawsuites from my friends at the NRA.. In my state, they got whooped good, signs falling down all over town, and fast....lol

Yea, I know now after googling Banned Vaping. LA seems to have the most news followed by NYC. At least in NYC, they are protesting it, I think to an extent.

California, Illinois and New York are all Corporate states, meaning that the cities have turned into actual legal corporations, they are disgusting...Not the people, but the state and their gestapo. Black booted jack thugs. New York, highest property rates and taxes with an absorbent amount of homelessness, Illinois, IE Chicago, has the worst gun violence and California produces the most prisoners....something to be said about that.

Starbucks is just jealous. Many people can make a better tasting coffee/espresso/frap vape than Starbucks can make their own. Way cheaper, too.

I used to live in Illinois for 6 years, 70 miles East of Shy Town so I am familur with their antics and yes I agree they are nothing but thugs at best. When it gets down to it, I believe, IMO, thatthey have to turn this into a political thing where someone can gain alot from it in their already deep pockets and the ones who are benefitting from this are the ones who will eventually suffer from their political plunders.

I think if you put every politician at the bottom of the ocean, it would be a good start to a much better world.

down here in Oregon, they were posting signs on storefronts for a lot of companies, No Concealed Weapons. After the last shooting in the mall here, people protested the signs, saying that if more people were able to carry their concealed weapons, instances like this would not happen as often. As far as open carry, =) we can walk down the street with an AK over your shoulder and cops drive right past you for the most part.

I started my own personal boycott of Starbucks since I learned that they had refused to send their coffee to our Guys and Gals during Desert Storm.

It's just as well Starbucks over roasts their coffee anyway to the point of almost being burnt. I have a friend in California who started a company that sells high end at home coffee roasters. I have one, if I want really good coffee I can order the beans and roast them myself.
did you know that The darker you roast the beans the less caffeine your coffee has?

You chose to implement an agenda of political boycott because they were choosing to boycott a political agenda....I can understand choosing to support our men and women in the armed forces, and even more so, the men and women who are over seas in foreign land...But if you really want to help, get them brought home. You do realize, there was no draft in place, and those in Desert Storm and Operation Freedom, were getting paid to do the job they applied for. I love our military, and I love the men and women in the military even more. But I cant be mad when a company chooses to boycott based on their equally garnered opinions on a political agenda. I just hate the fact they charge 5 bucks for a frippyfrapaccino....They would not send coffee over seas, because they did not want the soldiers there to feel at home, when they were not at home. Cold, but calculated. In return however, Starbucks has now offered more jobs to returning vets, than any other American based company, do you boycott that?

They did not believe that comforting those who chose to go into a preemptive war against a religion or a race was a good thing....go figure huh. 2014 and the backlash of our backstage relationship is still hurting us and thousands of women and children across eastern Europe. North Africa and the Middle East

If you have not read The Art of War....you need to, its a short book, and it will open your eyes to a lot of nasty nasty tactics used against us, as US citizens....its one book that every man woman and child should read. My children have both read it, my wife listens to it on audio daily, it will make you better at your job, better at understanding politics and religion. It will make you stronger than you ever thought possible. Give the public an enemy to focus on, and they will never see you directing them towards danger.....

found this on youtube...give it a listen while your vaping with a cup of coffee, ill be listening to it again right now myself.

War is a Racket by Smedley Butler should also be required reading
Smedley Darlington Butler[1] (July 30, 1881 – June 21, 1940) was a United States Marine Corps major general, the highest rank authorized at that time, and at the time of his death the most decorated Marine in U.S. history. During his 34-year career as a Marine, he participated in military actions in the Philippines, China, in Central America and the Caribbean during the Banana Wars, and France in World War I.

Marines are still taught to praise Smedley Butler and learn from him throughout training even though his ultimate conclusion about war is that it's a racket

In 1935, Butler wrote a book entitled War Is a Racket, where he described and criticized the workings of the United States in its foreign actions and wars, such as those he was a part of, including the American corporations and other imperialist motivations behind them. After retiring from service, he became a popular activist, speaking at meetings organized by veterans, pacifists, and church groups in the 1930s

Machiavelli did a take on Art of War as well, from a more socially political point of view, also a great read!

Sorry to have hit a nerve with my opinion.

Perhaps I have a simple mind.

And a soft spot for our troops.

And have had family deployed overseas.

And have sent many a care package over there.

I could give a rats ass about politics and politicians.

Nuff said...........................

If you dont hit a nerve, your speaking to soft Unc.
A simple mind is a great mind
I too have a soft spot for our troops.
I lost beloved friends over seas and stood by their families as they had empty coffins to bury here at home.
I also had family over seas for many years.
I have sent thousands of dollars in care packages to our boys and girls over seas, and will continue to do so.
Those who care not to be part of politics, are doomed to be governed by their inferiors....a quote from Plato.
Never stop talking, that is when the world stops listening.

I dont support the personal boycott, but as a community member here, I support you UNC. Next time I drive past Starbucks, I will think of you, so you should know that your personal choices have affected the world around you. That sir, is commendable.

Just because we might not agree on tactics, does not mean that we are living in two separate worlds. =)

I don't see anything wrong with stores not allowing vaping indoors. Outdoors is a different thing. But if its on their property have at it. Every building in California says it will give you cancer, go figure.
