Starter mod

Hey all I'm Kandi and I'd just like to know what you'd all recommend for a good starter mod with a not too ridiculous price range. I don't know too much about them as I'm fairly new to Vaping. Thanks any input would be much appreciated.

For a mechanical i say k100. Ugly little thing but works great, cheap price, and you can't kill it.

I don't really care about the look. Well yet lol. I keep seeing all these beautiful setups on Facebook and sure they're pretty but I'd prefer something that works well over something that just looks good

I'm just starting so all I'm using now is the kanger evod tanks. I have a decent battery with the digital readout but I want something better so I'm ready to invest in a decent mod

I like my MVP a lot. Took getting used to. I still use ego types a lot also.

@CaFF just found one on ebay for $38.00 shipped. Mine came with a clearo, I forgot to ask him, but I'm pretty sure his did, too. 101vape.com also has them for just under $40.

I'll also add for convenience, variable voltage/wattage, made by the same company as the MVP..... the Itaste vv3. I got mine at 101vape and I love that one. Perfect for home and also on the go. Kind of like an ego.

See, ask a simple question. Get overwhelmed by suggestions.
So many ways to go.

Welcome to the wonderful world of vaping!

As usual, you ask one question and you get a bajillion different answers an all of them correct in their own way:eek:

And of course, I want to give you answer one bajillion and one;)

But before I do, some questions if you don't mind.

What were you smoking and how much were you smoking before trying vaping?

How many hours of the day will you need your gear to get you through before charge or battery replacement time is needed.

And I am referring to the purchase of a kit that should last you for YEARS and will be a long term investment which will save you a boatload of money!

Most likely less than a carton of smokes (stinkies) at todays prices

And does size matter to you (sorry to say but the VU peanut gallery will be all over this question as soon as they see it so please forgive all of us in advance!)?

For example, do you want something small and unobtrusive for the office, restaurants and bars and such?

Or are you in a position that size does not matter? (again my apologies in advance).

Glad you found us KK!

But to be honest, the more info you can feed us the better we can help you!

Leave it to rj.
@UncleRJ What makes you think there will be comments about the fact that you're a size queen?

Hate to tell you dude.

You do not seem to be a part of the VU "Peanut" gallery I was expecting to hear from.

But you are still welcome to join:D

I was trying to warn about weak genitalia jokes when I referred to "Size Matters".

Interesting comment about me being a Size Queen though.

I am 6'3 and weigh in at about 210.

Halloween is coming and a Queen Victoria costume could be a great choice for me during the happiest holiday of the year!

Especially if I don't choose to shave my moustach and beard.

Just like the original.

Not worried about the bustle.

I do have some concerns about the Whalebone corset and the manoeuvrability of the hoop skirts though.

And of course the hours of practice necessary to deliver this phrase with majesty..............

"WE ARE NOT AMUSED" when some unfortunate hands me a warm beer!

Ok I smoked Marlboro lights about a pack a day sometimes a bit more. Size and look doesn't matter. I work at home so I'm at home most of the time (I work 6 days a week) I would like to invest in something that I could have and enjoy for a long time. I feel if I knew for sure that what I'm purchasing is going to last I would certainly be willing to spend more money. Also thank you for the welcome. Nice to be here

Oh and as far as battery goes, mine lasts pretty much all day although I do tend to plug it into the bottom and to my laptop when I'm working

Lots of good mods available to you at decent prices these days.

If you like tube mods, the Vamo V5 is a great one. I have had the V2 for a couple of years now and I love it and they have all of the bells and whistles.

If you like the box mods, the Hana clones are nice. I am actually vaping on the one I got from Focal about a month ago as I write this.

For me................

I need variable wattage, battery life indicator, resistance check, short protection, reverse battery protection and the like.

Also I need to be able to replace/service the batteries myself.

AND the device needs to be able to live in my shirt pocket.

But I have some pretty big pockets:D

If you have the money then a Provari is the way to go. Theyre getting ready to release a new version so you may want to wait on that. However, the current model is superior in craftsmanship and reliability to every VV device on the market
