Sterilizing Coffee beans before making flavor concentrate?

I'm sure you've all seen and read of the coffee bean PG flavor concentrate, right? Yeah its old news but I thought I'd try it out. I got my hands on some whole bean, used a mortar and pestle to crack them in half and got them soaking in a glass jar with pure PG. Well a friend of mine who also is doing the DIY juice told me the bean wasn't a good idea, since the coffee beans are covered in bactiria and germs and was thus soaking into my PG and then into my lungs. I can see that. But since these beans came from a cafe meant for serving the public, is there any real cause for alarm? Sure everything is covered in bactiria and germs and we interact with and breathe these in everyday. But maybe my friend is right?
Should the beans be sterilized before soaking?
It wouldn't be an issue. I have a pressure cooker and loads of experience with it. Let me tell you, no germs or bactiria survives the pressure cooker at 15 PSI for 90 minutes lol.

I'd be more concerned with the oils than bacteria, germs, etc

Well I did a coffee bean PG net about 2 years ago........ still have about 30ml left...... is still as clear as the day i made it.. although slightly darker. I don't see any mold or bacteria going in or on the bottle.
