Subbing FA coconut for TFA coconut extra

Hi all simple question I have quite a few recipes I want to try out that require FA coconut. As I'm new to DIY I'm unsure of the different strengths of the various vendors concentrates.

Having only TFA coconut extra I'm often guessing the percentage, though I imagine it takes less of the TFA version.

So if a recipe calls for 1% FA coconut what's the TFA equivalent?

Many thanks LL.

I wish I could be more helpful but does the manufacturer have a suggested percentage? I usually start slightly lower and if it needs tweaking I add a drop or more. Good Luck and please update us with your progress.

Depending on the recipe, you normally won't even taste any Coconut when using FA at 1% or less.
Typically it adds a "buttery effect" when used at 1% or less.
Unless you're more sensitive to that flavor.
TFA Coconut Extra is quite different from FA and you won't get the same effect from it IMO.
If you want to taste some Coconut it's fine tho, (but I'd start with 0.5% anyway if trying it out).
Might be better off using 1% Butter or 0.5-1% Marshmallow if you don't have any FA Coconut.
FA Walnut can have some Buttery notes too at 0.5%.
Or just try it without any Coconut first.

Thanks for the tips, I do have fa marshmallow, not even used it yet! I'll start low or have a mess with the marshmallow.

I can't really taste much of anything from Marshmallow but it kind-of adds some body & fluff to just about anything.
