Lots of wasted wire and sleepless nights and I finally mastered a build where I can pump 40 watts @470 with only 6\7 wrap (6 is on top 7 on bottom)and its not flimsy! 1st Twist 30g until 10 ridges can fit inside 3.5mm length of wire. Use a 3mm rod for the coil. Wick the coil with fluffy JP cotton and use the pancake method so juice will rest inside the rba in front of the cotton ends. I think people forget to account for the heat flux of the wire. A single strand of 28g or 30g can't hold 40 watts unless its a shit load of wire. Thought I'd share this with y'all sorry if its poorly written.
(Will ohm out to .11) and shouldn't refine if your connection is solid

My temp stays around 410° due to the thickness of the wire. 40watts seems to be the sweet spot or this build in a lemo drop it performs even better. Let me know how it works out for you. Remember to twist the best wire til it breaks. You want it tight.

Well, this all fell apart once i discovered i had no 30 gauge Kanthal. But a thin roll of mesh seems to work fine, i can now use more watts and also the flavor got even better. So i have 0.18 coil, with mesh-muji hybrid wick. Works great around 35w and 450F.

28g works to just takes a second to ramp up.
The key is twisting it to the maximum
