Man it's been a while. Glad to be back. Had shit to take care of. Any who, I've been trying to prefect my peach melon flavor which is

3% Peach (TFA)
13% Watermelon (TFA)
0 nic

I gave it to a few people, some liked it some didn't. One thing everyone said, is there was peach on the inhale, and watermelon on the exhale. Which is awesome. My cousin had suggested I add some vanilla custard to it to mute the fruit a tiny bit. I'm thinking of trying it for the hell of it. But how much should I use? Does TFA have vanilla custard? One last thing, do you think my cousin is right about the custard?

You can also try a smaller amount of CAP VC, (at 1% it won't take over).

What do you mean by sweet and tart? Is it a flavor?

It is. But it tastes just like Sweet Tarts candy.

TFA does have a vanilla custard, but IMO it's nowhere near as good as Caps. If you wanted to mute the fruit, just cut back on the flavoring percentages.
Sorry for double post. If I was to cut back, how much was you suggest for each?

I think that'd bring the fruit together more. I want to mute both flavors but without lowering the percentages,
Haven't tried that method myself, was just wondering if the candy sweet tart flavor would make the mix taste like sweet tarts.

I'd cut the watermelon back as much as half, then maybe 4-5% Caps custard. You could do the same percentage with TFA custard, but the flavor isn't the same as Caps, not as rich. That's just my opinion though.

I'm not going for candy. Tbh I'm not sure what I want lol. I guess I want to mute both flavors.

Some flavors get really harsh when you use too much of them. If it were me, I'd just cut the watermelon strength and see if that gave you more of what you had in mind. If that didn't work, I'd whip out the custard. ;)

I'm
assuming it's
a "sharp" mix. @Teresa P is correct cut that watermelon back! And Caps Custard all the way. May also want to try different flavor manufacturers as well. I'm no elitist but FA White Peach is so damn good. And imo tfa watermelon is candy like

So if I was to use Caps Custard into the mix...what percentages would you suggest starting with. So with the custard, peach, and watermelon 50/50 mix(I do 50/50 mixes first to see if it's any good.) no nic

Cap Custard 7%
Peach 3
Watermelon 6

Custard is a must steep flavor btw

How long would you suggest I steep it for? A week?

Yes, at least. I let my Custard recipe steep for 2 weeks. But by then it's half gone. Ha

As a quick update, I tried the percentages that @CurlyxCracker said. The custard overpowered both peach and melon. So I'm thinking of increasing the fruit. Maybe

8% peach (TFA)
10% watermelon (TFA)
7% Vanilla custard (Caps)

Does that sound good?

Or you can cut the custard to 4% see what it tastes like then add some flavoring, always possible to add rather than take away, easier anyway.

if he doesn't cut the percentage and add body he's headed towards dawn dish soap taste with sweet n sour. Your recommendation is really sound Teresa P

If you don't mind, break it down to idiot terms. I'm not really an expert with this.

Lol! You're far from an idiot, dear, this actually sounds quite tasty. Too much flavoring can sometimes make a mix taste "soapy" or have a "chemical" taste. And sometimes too much can yield no flavor at all. I'd still take the watermelon down some and add just enough custard to smooth it all out. I don't think you want watermelon custard. If this doesn't give you the taste you're looking for, just add more of the flavor you want to "shine" in small amounts till you hit it. Just 2 or 3% of the custard will tie the fruit flavors together and smooth them out. ;)

Possibly .5%-1% FA Fresh Cream. It might smooth things out without taking over the other flavors. Just a good basic fresh cream. Just my 2 centavos Amigo.

Thanks Amigo. I only have Caps vanilla custard. So that will have to do

Haha, thanks. I didn't know about the chemical taste. I may cut everything. maybe

4% peach
5% watermelon
3% custard,

I'm going to make it and tell you how it goes.

Such a brain fart! I knew you weren't trying to make a Custard, that percentage was for making a Custard. My fault!
