Suicide Squad may set the new record high for August, as the upcoming DC film is projected to make upwards of $125 million during its debut weekend.
According EW, Suicide Squad is tracking to make somewhere between $100 million and $125 million in its first weekend, surpassing Guardians of the Galaxy's prior August record of $94.3 million.
As noted by Deadline, this would also serve as a record high for Will Smith, surpassing I Am Legend's weekend debut, which earned $77.2 million back in 2007.
