I'm wondering if anyone has used Sweetner from MBV vs TFA sweetner.
I been using MBV sweetner but want to switch away & prefer TFA

I'm assuming same ingredients = same taste?
curious about how much if any % usage will differ?

Any thoughts are appreciated!

I talked to MBV & they told me the ingredients in their sweetner is private!?
besides PG... they won't tell me what is in their sweetner.
my question was do you mix 10% , 15% or more sucralose to make up the sweetner
the guy laughed at me

I asked him - why does other flavor vendors list they mix sucralose %, with PG etc -
he said MBV's was proprietary

LOL

Oh, that's crap! I have MBV, TFA, and straight sucralose, and usually start with 3 drops per 10ml. Just depends on how sweet you want the mix. I hardly ever use any of them unless I'm making something "candy-ish" and want it super sweet.

can you tell any difference in taste or amount you use between MBV vs TFA?
so if you use 2% MBV would you use 2% of TFA? and get same results?

it is crap! and crap is saying it nicely..
in the past I have read that MBV wasnt rebottling FW & then they wont tell you. blah blah blah its always been a mystery with them IMO

just glad I dont use many / if any flavors from them. just so happened I had a bottle of their sweetner from a while ago & kept using it -- time to change

They DO rebottle FW, that's why their flavoring is so weak. That's also how they offer extra "flavor shots" without totally distorting the flavor of the juice. Try "extra shots" with FA and see what happens.........lol!
TFA sweetener is a bit stronger, I'd start with half of what you were using with MBV and then adjust to taste.

Thank you for the reply. I suspect TFA would be a bit stronger.
I was curious about taste change
but since such small amount prob not too noticiable

Um if MBV rebottles FW and it comes out weaker then they add something to it. That to my way of thinking is not just rebottling.;)

The guy on the phone said I can't tell you what is added to our sweetner if I knew.

That's when I said. I just want to know the % of sucralose used.

So it is possible they add something else.

What's going to happen if fda requires listing ingredients like our food labels. Not sure that will happen but anything is possible with fda.

The point wasn't that MBV is weaker than FW, they're one and the same. MBV/FW is weaker than TFA.

Quick update. I got some tfa sweetner. Tasted a little of each mbv & tfa . Mbv is thinner and weaker flavor. Tfa is a little thicker and stronger taste but they have same flavor.

MBV waters stuff down. FW is cheap enough without watering it down, that's how MBV can put 15ml bottles of flavoring out there so cheap. Don't get me wrong, I still have some MBV's from when I first started and a few of them are pretty good. Their Vanilla Tobacco with a 4-week+ steep is the bomb, and their Coffee flavoring is really good as a standalone. The Maple Pecan is the one I make my Pitbull Brindle clone with. But most of them just don't cut it unless you use them at very high percentages.
