New to the forum, but have a problem that hopefully someone can help with. I have the sx m class and I love this thing. I just upgraded from the original sx, or "s class", and the battery cap on my m class feels like it is stripping out. The threads have always felt weird as everyone else has complained about. I never crank the cap down just snug it a little and recently the cap seems to be popping loose. I have emailed the company with no reply as of yet. Has anyone figured out a fix for this? I never has this issue with my other sx.

when you install the cap, slowly turn in the opposite direction and feel a click, the first thread, and then slowly screw it down the right way. Take a look at the threads in the mod and the cap, are they all smashed up?

Cross threading sucks!

If the threads are jacked then you will either need to send the unit to Yihi or if you have a machine shop locally, they might be able to save it for you..

In the future do as Zamazam says when screwing the battery cap on..

I turn the cover backwards to hear/feel the click b4 screwing it down. I just checked the threads and they don't look stripped or smashed of any kind. Almost wonder if the threads r bigger than the cap? I know that a lot of people have complained about the threading. I have contacted yihi via email and they told me same as Zamazam and quit responding, I have posted the problem on the sx mini Facebook page but not getting any responses.

I never had any luck at all getting support from a Chinese company..

Do you have a machine shop locally? If so, I'd bring it to them and have it looked at. Yeah it might cost you a few bucks but it sure beats trying to deal with Yihi and it would be fixed 500 times faster that way..

Good luck man I hope it works out quickly..

The last time I tried to deal with a Chinese company it was painful and I gave up after about 3 weeks and several dozen emails back and forth.. Maybe YiHi is better...

Ive found that using my index finger and birdie Finger to slide the cap backwards half a turn then press it in and spin it once or twice to be the absolute easiest way to swap baths

Hope the store can help you with it

The problem that I'm having is that I turn the cap backwards a turn or two to align the threads and the screw it in, list like I always did in my original sx mini. But the cap can wiggle from side to side and a low I it and the battery to come out. I checked the threads but they r fine not stripping or cross threading, that is why I believe the cap to be to small to the threads in the battery tube to be cut too deep or sumthin. I'm kinda stumped

Well hot damn, yihi finally got back to me. If anyone needs to get ahold of them it's use skype! They want me to send a copy of the receipt and the warranty card to them via email and they will have new one sent to me via local vendor so I don't have to wait on the slow boat to china.

I'm having the exact same issue as you are having. Never cross threaded the cap or damaged it in any way but as I thread the cap in it will pop back out when the battery starts to compress the spring.

Any update to your situation with yihi?
