The Crypt is re-opening, kiddies! At the TCA (Television Critics Association) press tour today, it was revealed that a new version of Tales From the Crypt is coming to TNT this fall.
The new Tales will come from executive producer M. Night Shyamalan, following the movie director's recent success in TV with FOX's Wayward Pines. The series will use the original William Gaines-created Tales From the Crypt EC Comics from the 1950s for some episodes, mixed in with original stories. Tales From the Crypt will be part of a new two-hour horror block TNT will launch this fall, though all the details on the rest of the block have yet to be revealed, beyond it involving "both short and long-form storytelling."
