Tasty Vapor (tastyvapor.us) Cards Me After I Pay Them?!!!

I'm 41. I ordered from Tasty Vapor in Oakland, CA. The day after payment, they send an email demanding a photo of my photo ID with the shipping address on it. Is that even a thing? I'm probably going to flip them the bird.

Of course it's a thing. Have you not heard anything about the FDA regulations which went into effect about age verification? (And the place being located in CA only makes things worse.)

If your info provided for the purchase transaction isn't automatically matching your info in public records data for some reason then they would be asking for a copy of a photo id for age verification.

Not legally.... doesn't mean they won't require a match though.. CYA and all......

Totally normal. If you are not comfortable with it You can ask for a refund. Unfortunately it is the new normal now.

This list originated on a different forum but does have some nice info. List was done by Tmcase. It will tell you what verification vendors are using. Not all vendors but it does help with some.
I also recommend using SSL Server Test (Powered by Qualys SSL Labs)
Some vendors are really sloppy with their security.
