So I recently picked up a istick 40w temp control mod. I only got the mod, since I should be receiving 2 new RTAs in the mail sometime soon. My question is so am I able to use my rebuildables on my tc mod? I want to be able to use this feature since it will be my first temp control mod, but I'm not a huge fan of buying coils anymore. I'm a huge RTA fan and use my Billow v2 nano every day. I'm curious to know if it's possible to use this RTA on the istick in temp control. I know there's special wire, but since I just got into rebuildables I only have kanthal. Could someone give me some pointers or tips on what to do or even if it's possible? Thank you

I've done tc builds on my billowv2. You need to get some ni200 wire. I recommend using spaced coils. Use steam engine to get your number of wraps correct. I think I was using 28g ni200 twisted with 10-12 wraps 2mm diameter dual coil. Make sure your screws are down tight but not so tight it breAks the wire. Nickel is soft and harder to work with than kanthal. Take care when wicking it.

Ok so I just need Ni200 wire? I like my builds around.5 ohms. Is it possible to wrap a micro coil with this type of wire?

Ni200 builds are going to and need to be much lower. Around .15 for your mod

Oh just saw you can go down as low as .05 ohms in tc mode I think with only 40w though you may prefer a regular build. I never got the flavor I wanted out of temp control until I got a dna 200 device. Experiment and have fun. That's what it's all about

Now why is that?
Because the wire is super low resistance but increases as it heats. That's how it calculates temperature. It would just take too many wraps to get to .5 and I find it works best under .1
