Temperature control

I have the Smok Alien 220w mod with a Vandy Vape Kylin rta on it. Dual coil setup ( ss fraliens ) at .13 ohms. Any suggestions on what temp to start at? I went in the settings and changed it to ss. It also lets me choose how many watts in temp mode. Any help would be appreciated.

450 is a good starting point but really it's just personal preference. I personally haven't used that mod but it seems like most people ive talked to have had more success with TCR mode rather than SS mode for temp control on that mod.

Any suggestions on wattage within temp control mode? It auto sets to 43 watts. Is that good enough or do I need to up it?

70 watts was good for me when I used wattage mode. So change it to 70 watts in temp mode, is that how that works? Thanks for your help.

Yeah that's how it works. The difference is that it pulses power once it reaches target temperature, to maintain that temperature. But it starts at whatever wattage you set it at.

Sometimes tc takes some playing with but once you get it figured out it's not bad.

I’ve got an alien also. TCR mode does work better for temp control. I ran mine at 70 watts and 400 degrees Fahrenheit but I like a little cooler vape. The Sirius is better at temp control than the alien and has better battery life also. My freedom smokes has them for 40$ if you have the money to get one and decide you want to stay with temp control.
