My GF has been burning coils on her tanks while using a iStick 20.
The first 3 times I just replaced the coil and gave it back to her.
Today I replaced the coil, filled the tank and took a few tokes and noticed it was hot with a lot of vapor.
I made sure the wattage/voltage was at the lowest setting. It was at 5 watts 3.3 volts.
I put my tank on it that I've been vaping at 9 watts and it was clear that it was hotter on her iStick.
I tried putting my volt meter on the contacts but get no reading, the iStick shows "no atomizer"
I think the iStick is stuck on the highest out put but the screen still reads like it's suppose to.
Is there anyway to test for this?
The iStick is about 10 months old, used almost every day and is a real (not clone) one.

I have no answer for you, but chiming in. Mine runs hotter than my other stuff, I've started adjusting my builds accordingly. I build with a heavier gauge wire now and it's helped a lot. Mine was from day one, though, so I don't know what's up. I hope someone else can answer better for you!

I've got 3 of the 30watt iStick and they are all the same.(work just fine) I gave her one and locked the adjustment buttons.
I used the 20 watt for about 9 months without problems. She used it a month without problems until this weekend.

istick 20w does tend to give out wrong readings also one of mine was showing it was charging [ not on charge ] and now its autofiring this was a problem with some of the 50w isticks my guess is its leaking juice getting into pcb anyone else got a better explanation
