Hi I was wondering if anyone knows if the rba head that comes with the tfv4 is able to fit a single fused clapton?

I think I already answered this in a PM...
Not without Modification use use of very thin cores and outer wire. The holes for wire barely fit single 22g wire and if your wrapping the wire around the screws the wire needs to end before the end of the screw head or the cap wont fit.
I have done it but it required some modification to the RBA and cap..

Smok also offers 2 optional RBA for claptons. TF-RCA and TF-R3.

The TF-R2 and the TF-RCA are great...the TF-R3 is difficult to get perfect and wicking is the worst!

Coming from you that's sayin something! I'll be sure to shy away from TF-R3. Thx!

Have you done it? I'm just curious to see what you did, funkiest coilhead I've ever seen, I have no intentions of getting it.

I tried it with some simple (3) 26g wire 5 wrap 3mm ID coils just to see how it would go, I went to install one and my lead on one side wasnt long enough, made a new coil (same specs with longer leads). I went to install it and I used a Kuro Coiler Bit for mounting them, it wouldnt let me get the coil where I wanted it as it hits the coilhead before and after where the coil mounts and the coil would sit out too far.
I used my fingers, which leads to a crappy build and flavor (oils on fingers stay on the coil) and then wrapped a small amount of wire around the screws and clip them. I did this 3 more times and then pulsed them and pinch them. I grabbed some cotton and quickly found out that its harder to wick it then wicking vertical coils in the Aromamizer....not fun. I had to cut the wick almost exactly to what the coil would need as there isnt room to cut them afterwards. After getting the wicking done I put the cap on but it wouldnt go on....I found the coils need to be less then 3mm.

I tore it all down and then redid everything with 2.5mm ID coils and got it all setup again. After a few pulls and everything seemed fine, I started leaking juice out of the AFC. I thought it was my cotton so I fluffed it up with my curved pin driver and reassembled everything. Then came the Dryhits AND Leaking...I have dicked around with this coilhead for almost 4 hours straight just for building it and then atleast 2-3 more hours trying to get my wicking perfect for it. Still havent got it working to what I would call perfect...

My conclusion on the head is you need small coils, both in wraps and ID. You will not have as much cotton as needed for actual use and the juice will seep into the Air Flow on the coil and leak out of your tank. If you take a draw for more then a second or 2 your cotton will dry out and burn due to the coil size needed.

This is the worst RBA I have tried in a long time, I feel that even the Sega Tank V2 rba for the Atlantis and others is even better...and that thing sucked ass.

I dont have pics as I was pissed off the entire time and I didnt build anything I was proud of, the RBA will be en-route to the local compactor as soon as they grab my bin.

I have the original RBA and its really not bad. I bored out my wire holes with a small drill bit. A few times actually.
initially I did it for some UD Clapton wire and 20g Kanthal. Before long, that wasn't enough either and I bored it again to fit a double twisted 26 that I made (wire ended up being ridiculously thick).

I still think the original RBA with post holes is the best TFV4 RBA, you just need to bore them out a bit. I don't like the Clapton, dual coil, or tri-thingy decks at all.

If they sold a predrilled single RBA I'd snatch it up in a heartbeat. I already wore out my first single RBA, I have 1 more bored out and 1 more standard one, but I really don't want to drill anymore out, it's a pain with the tools I have (read nothing but a drill and some random hand tools).

I find that TF-R2 the Best and the TF-RCA the second best...
My Favorite builds for Each:
2 x 26K/50N60 Fused Claptons and 2 x 32N80/44N60 Fused Claptons on TF-R2:

The RCA is basically the Single Coil RBA with better mounting abilities and bigger juice channels, airflow is about the same though.
I love the TF-R2 because its the RCA but a Dual Coil version with even better airflow....

True, I just like my vertical coils for single coils builds and I tried one on the RCA and it just felt awkward. Plus I don't know the wickin always seemed to elude me on the RCA where it was fine on the single and dual RBAs.

I hear ya. Lucky, I have an engineering shop at work with just about any tool I could imagine. I started with drill bits smaller than the actual whole, and gradually stepped it up.

I saw one of those photos in another thread and wondered if it was the TFV deck.
Those builds look great. Maybe Im jaded, but I just hate screw trapping. I think the Veritas ruined it for me.

I use a Round File and I make a nice shallow channel under both sides under the screws and like to hit the walls on the edges, this makes it a ton easier to trap and more useful for larger wires. I do agree that it sucks but its whats available for me and I try my best for a decent build Ill enjoy.
