We can all agree that high school can suck. TV and film have captured that fact of life with varying degrees of realism. But some have stood out from others, taking the normal teenage challenges of acquiring popularity, dealing with teachers, and succeeding academically to much darker places.
With that in mind, let’s take a look at 13 TV and movie high schools we would absolutely never want to enroll in.
What's the one thing about school that's always amazing, no matter what? Field trips! It's the opportunity to leave school for the day to explore something new or do something fun and it technically counts as learning. What's not to love? Unfortunately, for students at Shiroiwa Junior High in Battle Royale, there's plenty to hate. Something as pure and fun as a field trip could land you on an island and forced to fight for your life until you’re the sole survivor of your class. In Battle Royale's dystopian future, where the government controls the population by pitting kids against each other, the last thing you want to do at school is end up in a shock collar with your fellow classmates trying to murder you.
