With the winter 2016 anime season complete, IGN has picked the five shows that are primed for binging. If you missed these anime, you’ll definitely want to give them a try.
To qualify for this list, the anime had to have ended its season in winter.
Erased consistently handles its darker topics with grace. A disturbing and serious look at the horrors of child abuse keeps its murder mystery from feeling stale, and its take on childhood is refreshing. Protagonist Satoru is sent back in time to his elementary school days, and watching him navigate childhood relationships with the knowledge and maturity of an adult is consistently excellent. His friendships are heartfelt from beginning to end and add both weight and hope to the serial killer plot, and they provide the depth to each other that makes Erased meaningful and fantastic from beginning to end.
