The $8000 question

I keep hearing about upcoming FDA regulations but haven't spent a ton of time researching it. I read about AEMSA and AEMSA membership. I saw one vendor quit making "add a shot" and custom flavorings as preparation for the upcoming regulations.
I have a friend who is an entrepreneur and it always asking me for business ideas. I personally purchased 1.1L of nicotine after I saw Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller saying they were going to start regulating the sale of ecigs to minors (aren't there already laws against this?), regulating vape shops, and I have heard of other bans on flavors (because kids are the only ones that like candy, drinks, and desserts...). I also saw the movie Dallas Buyer's Club in the past few months and liked how he fought to get the drugs he wanted to cure aids before everyone with AIDS died because of research.
I personally haven't done enough research on the subject to know how safe ejuice is, but with my first DIY purchase I did try to buy DIKETONE free flavorings. I see how a lot of people try to buy VG only so I am guessing they either have allergies to PG or they think VG is better for them since it is naturally derived and not a petroleum product.

With all of this uncertainty flying around in my head, and knowing 1st hand two family members who haven't smoked since April, and being a month free myself, and my pushing to get the remaining smokers I know to switch, I started thinking WHAT COULD HAPPEN? And WHAT CAN I DO ABOUT IT?

I read some people saying 'don't start an ejuice business, save your money, wait for the regulations to come out'. I see others saying Big Tobacco is going to corner they market with their inferior products (trust me I know, I tried smoking 3 mark-tens at once 12 and 6 months ago and it just sucked. And they are doing this to keep their bread and butter product going.

Will the prices skyrocket? Will small ejuice vendors go out of business? Will Nictotine be banned leaving us DIY folks dependent on a) inferior product and b) unsure the ingredients that go in them.

My question to the DIY folks, and to the vaping public at large are these:
Are there any juices out there that are worth $8000 to get tested yet the companies are on a tight enough margin that they will go under?
Is there any way to keep Nicotine in bulk available to DIYers?
Is there any DIY Buyer's clubs that could pitch in and get their Nicotine only approved as a flavor and then boost the PG/VG and flavorings themselves?
What other concerns do people have? I feel saved by vaping, and do have some friends with money who can potentially help if the ideas are sound.

Yes, it IS illegal for minors to buy and posses nicotine products. But this is about TAX MONEY. The rejects in Indy want MORE of our money.

You know what is REALLY strange? I don't believe for a second they are worried about kids vaping. I think those in Indy are making up fat, nasty lies. If they were CONCERNED about kids vaping, they'd send in the Excise police to BUST shops selling to minors. One of the two shops in my area REGULARLY sell to minors. No joke. A year in business, and NEVER been busted, never been questioned.

We are fucked, unless lawsuits FLY.

the most important part for me is that I am stocking up on nicotine. flavorings and other components will allways be available, but the nicotine component will probably skyrocket with new regulations... bullshit

Even if it is not law of the land here in Oregon, every shop/cart I have been to has that OLCC no minors tobacco sign.
I know one company that black listed a guy and his family since he lied to the shop dude and handed a ego battery and carto to a 4 year old with 18mg nic juice in it. They snatched it back from the kid and refunded the scumbags money.

that's total BS what a douche...
now my 16 yr old does have his own mod and he is allowed to vape, but his juices are 0% nic and it was an alternative to smoking weed... the deal was I will test him randomly and if he comes up hot for weed, bye bye vape... he loves making snapchat videos vaping so for us its a healthy alternative to something he is too young to make a decision for. when he is on his own outside our home as an adult then its his decision.

Not to mention extreme regulation would put kids in much more danger since they will then possibly be dealing with Black Market products.

Most kids aren't even vaping for the nic. They are vaping for the clouds and if the majority of vaping products are removed from shelves, you will end up seeing a lot of injuries from kids who know nothing about battery safety or ohms laws, blowing off their hands from unregulated, home made mods somebody sold them so they can vape VG they bought at Wal-Mart.

^This^

It's impossible to regulate a battery and coil of wire. PG/VG is used in too many things to regulate them. Flavors are food grade and can be found.

Nic will get the regulation and resultant tax.

A friend in Ohio is loaning me $300 to buy every FA flavoring. I'm curious if hoosiers are going to get the shaft and be left with like 1 company juice to buy.
He has some money and am curious if there are companies that will try to sell off their assets or recipes or names or try to get funding just to sell here.
I only know of Hoosier and Karma that make juice in Indiana. Anyone know of any other Indiana Juice companies that may want to join forces?
I also don't know what's what with the FDA and just hate Indiana is taking the lead so we will end up with TWO sets of regs. Sorry if I mentioned some of this up top. Been a long shitty week. :( The hoosiervapers website is broken. Dunno where other Hoosiers are or who went to the Science and Technology hearing. If I wasn't going to Miami next week and out of vacation time I'd have loved to see the BS in person.

Nope they are trying or looking into copying and pasting Indiana's bullshit almost word for word in Oregon.
I already wrote to my local politicturd and offered some cranial anal removal services free of charge.

Big Tobacco is the driving force that is bribing politicians via political contributions to tax the daylights out of vaping. RJ Reynolds hates the competition, and state government want the taxes to pour in from e-cigs just like they do with tobacco. Complete BULLSHIT.
