Warning: Full spoilers for The Americans: Season 4 finale below.
While not one of the very best episodes of the season – which is nothing to be concerned about, given this season was just incredible – The Americans: Season 4 finale still was an engrossing, eventful hour of TV that saw a ton of notable changes occur.
So, um… everyone’s moving to Russia next season, I guess? Will they re-title the series The Russians?
It was both involving and perhaps just a bit of a stretch to have “You’re going back to Russia” happen three separate times in this episode for multiple characters, but what was great was how it was all for such different reasons. Oleg is going home voluntarily, to help his mother. Arkady is being forced out of the country by the US. And the Jennings? Well, if they leave, it’s because they have decided that they do indeed need to take the safest course of action, given the risk that William gave up information about them.
