No ej, Roxy is the Merlin of rtas! She has the magic touch.

I hope! I would like to continue my involvement with RTA design. It wouldn't hurt if those of you who are fans of Alleria or Boreas helped spread the word about them. Augvape doesn't have the name recognition or reputation yet that they deserve. And obviously outside of some forums my name doesn't mean anything.

Geez, my dog just farted right near my face, damn!

I have a surprise for you all with Merlin, but you'll have to stay tuned ;) However, it won't suit people who want to run high power dual builds. But, I think many will be pleased by the versatility.

The prototypes are on their way to me for testing.

Oh, and please bookmark the Boreas o ring sizes or save to a document so you'll have that info when needed.
Page bookmarked for o-ring size.....!

I've been searching for info on the sigelei 213 (not for the 213 watts, but whether it's TC capability is better then joyetech cuboid and all it's flaws). Really love the form factor of the cuboid, just wish someone made a DNA133 device in similar fashion. Boxer is close, but way too much money for 3d printed plastic.

I digress, the video isnt in english, but i was happy to see the boreas make an appearance at the 4:50 mark :)

Buy a Hohm Wrecker for all your TC needs....

I did notice they added multi-point TCR curve support in there (TFR they call it, never heard that term before).. steps in the right direction, gotta wait for more in depth review. My problem with JT with higher wattage temp control is the overshoot and pulsing, seems its circuit monitoring and adjustment is on the slow side. I've never used a DNA or hohm wrecker device before, but from what i hear they are much better at keeping the temp constant with minimal ramp time. The compact form factor though is my main concern.

I will second this idea! Fantastic mod! Does seem to hit harder than any other regulated mod I own at the same watts. I don't know how they do it, but TC does work in Kanthal mode.
In this review they post about how its done but if you watch Pbusardo "Cranky" video from a couple weeks ago its a second look at the box and he states it works perfectly if used correctly and that his first review was flawed.

I will 3rd. My g2 hasn't left my hand since I got it. I don't use anything else right now. And they do hit harder than others. Thought it was just me until Raymo straightened me out I'm so happy with it I've thought about cancelling my preorders for the efusion and q class and getting a couple more g2's.

Man, I wish that guy knew how to make a short video. 1 hour and 20 min. Okay, can't watch this at work...too long. I'll watch it tonight.

Can't leave this tank on the side, will leak overnight :(
Mine, too, a little. I'm sure it's just a matter of getting the wick just right. I'm due for a cleaning and new wicks and hope I can do it perfect this time. I've had the same coils and wicks since day one and still going good, but I'm starting to get a slight off taste so it's time. I still don't lay a tank over no matter which one it is though.

very very interesting, hadnt really researched the hohm wrecker until now. Not a fan of the size and shape, but i do see they have a single 26650 version called the hohm slice coming soon.
I dont think any of use likes its form factor or surface design....but you cannot beat its features or specs, especially for its price.

Im not a fan of 26650's...they are a step down in tech then 18650's and cant handle the same loads and discharging we use...but most dont understand that...neither do the companies making the mods.

Good things to concider, thanks for your insight... Is the G2 capable of of TC with SS claptons or fused claptons? Currently my cuboid will just drop out of TC into power mode with dual 26x2/32 5 wrap ss316 fused claptons. Probably because it's reading .13 and not seeing much change when they finally ramp up.

It will handle all of what you mentioned without any problems. I currently have a pair of Kanthal Claptons I got from Ray in there and using TC. It is working just fine. They ohm out at 0.13. But it will fire lower than that. I just haven't tried anything lower.

You're filling it correctly right? Letting the juice all flow down so you can fill that bottom chamber with air to help the pressure system develop correctly? If you're doing that, and wicking it sufficiently it should be fine, but I've seen more than a few say otherwise so /shrug. Most of the toys I use a lot can lay upside down, on their side, anything and be fine. Griffin, DIablo, Boreas, and even my Avocado (took a while to figure out exactly how to wick) have spent many nights on their sides. My Haze will leak all over though, and same with my RDAs which I usually overfill a tad because I hate forgetting it's empty and trying to vape it.

Ive fired builds down to .04 Ohms on it....it was restricted to 90w but it fires it.

Since you guys took this thread sideways, here's my question : Hohm Wrecker G1, G2 or Slice? I know they're different animals but since y'all have been playing with them from a little while, which would you suggest.

G2 hands down...the Slice only does 100w and has more limits..and it uses older battery tech, it is nicer looking though..

Yeah, the Slice looks really nice, maybe wait for toasted slice (the v2)?
I sworn not to buy another mod until Christmas, but I'm having trouble with that. All these new mods....... my only consolation is the slice case is plastic. I'm hanging to my decision by a thread....a very thin thread....

I was saying it makes it a high grade wire for low resistance and TC vaping. I made that clear. 430SS would snap like cardboard if you used it in a real world heavy application. It's crap as steel, great as wire. But 430SS wire in a vape shop or a vendor, is going to be more expensive than kanthal and nickel.
Fair enough. But, "it's expensive as shit and a very high grade of SS".... Is a much different statement than the back peddling above. It's not expensive, and it's not a high grade SS by any sense of the term. It's a cheap, low grade SS that is good for our use. Everything in a vape shop is more expensive.

For anyone that wants some, I got 40m for $15 including shipping. Cheaper the more you buy. That is probably marked up 500%. But it's better than the 10,000% markup from a vape shop. Probably comes off a 5000m drum that cost a penny a foot. 18-32g.

Raymo, it is easy to form. But it isn't like 316/17/304 is hard/springy. I wanted to try it because it has one of the highest TCRs for SS. 148-155 is still very low, but it is "60%" higher than 316. I thought TC might be more accurate/stable. But I can't tell any meaningful difference vaping, or in escribe. Seems the same as other SS.

Spec for 430 is < 1% for Nickle. So for anyone that is concerned about that, (I'm not) it is considered "nickle free".

Oh, Crazy Wire. I don't think they are a secret, but they are in the UK. But I still got my stuff in a week or so. They are a wire supplier, but sell for vaping too. I think you can buy 100m rolls. Other SS and Ti. I don't remember any nickle. Lots of gauges. I think my total order was like 120m for $45. Went in with someone else. I haven't even gone through 10m yet.

It's the only place I could find 430 in the gauge I wanted. I don't know if I'll go out of my way for 430 again, but the company was very trouble free to deal with.

I bought 100ft of 22g, 24g, 26g, 28g, 30g, 32g, 34g, 36g, 38g, 40g in SS (316L) for $25
Ya, wire isn't expensive. Only if you buy for a special purpose. Even yours was marked up for small quantities. Probably cost much less than that buying the huge spool. It's not that special to wholesalers. Even buying a spool of welding wire is pretty cheap. But not many people buy a life time supply.

Yea I buy bundles like this to save more then buying them one by one....you'd be surprised on how much each spool would cost compared to that deal. I would go wholesale but Im already buy KA1/N80 in 1000ft spool and I dont get enough business for SS coils to buy crazy amounts of that. I rarely use SS....I like N80/N60

Where at? Just bought a few gauges at like $2-3 each, but wouldn't mind overlapping that at that price.
