There are several different methods, and I think we all adapt whatever is most efficient for each of us. Those who make huge batches often use different equipment than those who make small batches, for example.

I think most DIYers use an online calculator. If you tell us what device you use (Mac, PC, android..) people can recommend one that will work for you. With a calculator, you input a recipe as you find it online, and you tell it what size batch you want to make. It tells you how many ml of PG, VG, nic, and each flavoring to use. You just measure all those ingredients into a bottle and shake it. Some recipes are ready to vape right away, and others need to sit around a while to taste their best. If the recipe doesn't say, you have to experiment a little.

Maybe you want to start even simpler, trying out the flavors you already have. Do you have some supplies already? If you tell us what you have we can tell you how to use it -- or help figure out what more you need.

If you have no supplies yet, and want to know what to buy, tell us more about your goals. Are you DIYing just for yourself? Do you already vape vendor liquids and want something similar?

So @wei-cheng chung - tell us more about what you'd like to make. :)

If you do not use nicotine, you can't get hurt with DIY. At worst, it just won't taste good.
If you DO use nicotine, it's vital to get that part right.
So let us know that, too.

Unflavored juice is easy to make and gives you something to vape right away. If you don't use nic, it's even easier.
But there is still one question even in this simple case: what ratio of PG/VG should you make?

If you have favorite vendor liquid, look on the label to see what PG/VG ratio you've been using.
or if you're using a dripper to vape, you can start with all VG.
or if you're using a tank and have no idea what you like best, you can try equal amounts of each to begin with.

Assuming you want no nic, 10ml batch, with equal amounts of PG and VG, just add 5ml of each to a bottle, shake it well, and you're ready to vape it. It's a good idea for everyone to do this, just to see how it tastes. It should be a little bit sweet and not much flavor - pleasant but boring. It's important to realize anything you taste with unflavored will be in the background of every DIY mix you make, so if it's horrible, you have something to fix before you continue.

Once that is fine, the next step is to add nic if you'll be using it. I'll stop here for now, because I don't know if you are, or what strength nic you might have, or what nic strength you vape. Once you've gotten the PG/VG/nic part decided, you're ready to DIY with flavorings. I hope this gives you somewhere to start.

No compensation needed here at Vu!!! Yay! Sure, if you would like to pay it forward I'm sure there is a way to donate money to the Vu website.

I would recommend checking out the how to thread in the DIY section.

All the info you need is there. How to mix by weight is a good one. Threads on how to store your nic. In this general discussion section there are countless topics on what to buy for your DIY purchase.

That's the great part of this place and community. Everyone has posted there info for free to help everyone out.
