The nic is overpriced for sure. I remember when they first started out on ECF and the owner was from MI I believe. They sold rebranded Flavorwest and I purchased Nic that was not calibrated correctly. I almost OD'd on the stuff and the owner did not refund my money. My mistake from buying from someone who (at that time) was doing it out of their garage.
I am glad of the big companies now who have a reputable business. Sorry, I've been diy'ing since Dec 2010 back in the stoneage of vaping.
,
My experience with NicVape was in 2013, driving by the first brick and mortar I'd ever seen, when the only thing I'd vaped was a complicated cigarette-shaped e-cigarette from China, which my sweet partner had ordered for me, complete with 1mg, tiny mint-flavored cartridges that you refilled with an (included) needle. I had never even heard of a vape shop back then and I remember swerving off the road to stop at it as we drove by. I left after buying a protank mini, some kind of spinner-type mod, and a 10ml bottle of Nicvape menthol--which I still use (literally) to this day. Clearly, I'm not a huge menthol fan, but it was good for switching off smokes. Plus, I had some drugstore strawberry at home I was planning to spike with the menthol.
I remember spending close to fifty bucks for my little "set-up"--which, at the time, was pretty shocking. The 10ml menthol was one of like 3 flavors they offered and was around 12 bucks! (Oh, and I looked at the current nic prices and, YEAH. It's pretty outrageous.)
Haven't really tried their flavors, though you might remember a big discussion on here (in a separate thread a few years back) about NicVape's initial foray into DIY flavors... lots of discussion about diacetyl and acetoin. I think Smoky Blue was trying out or possibly promoting their stuff at the time?
It's all a bit vague to me now. Still, I can't help but look at a 45% off sale. Unless someone tells me their flavors are still as bad as you remember,
@Artemis. As always, great feedback!
