Nope. It was always my Grandmother. Geez, I hated it to the core. Still think this is gross, lol.

Used to be taught in Mom-101 class
I pulled up the addresses of those houses on Google street view, and those houses are gone... replaced with newer ones.
Then you always had real food
given that every kid in the street kicked your snowman down, i found building it around a pile of house bricks fixed the problem
I haven't read ahead yet to see if anyone else made a guess, but mine is movie projector.
I live too far away now to visit them in person, but I've seen my old houses on Google maps and they're still there. The big old grandmother willow tree in front of one of them is gone, but the house is still there, and so are all the rest that I can remember the addresses of.
Nope it's an old time sewin machine, my mom actually had and used one like that when I was a kid

And you knew there was a paddle hanging on the wall of his office...
Gah! That was gonna be my second choice. I had one similar, but it was obviously newer and not made of wood (the base). But my dad had a movie projector that was in a very similar case, too.

It was truly horrible, I used to hide under the bed and my mom had to get a broom to chase me out, luckily that tradition passed when I was young
I never saw green ones! Our family had a red table and chairs, and the grandparents had the yellow. And ohhhhh, the chrome was always so shiny!
