I remember Hawaiian Punch and Hi-C, remember that one? I loved the Hi-C pineapple juice!

And yeah, wearing dresses to school... I went to a parochial school for my first six years and had to wear a uniform - pleated blue plaid wool skirt, white Peter Pan blouse, a blue wool sweater, blue wool socks, and brown and white SADDLE SHOES! I hated those saddle shoes! And all that scratchy, itchy wool, but that was the uniform, so we had to wear it. I still wore dresses to school in the 7th and 8th grades, and didn't start wearing jeans until high school. They were nice jeans, though, bell bottoms, with cuffs, clean and pressed, with a nice shirt and nice high heeled shoes or boots. Not that crap that kids wear today. I don't understand the "holey jeans" movement at all. Like, can't you afford a pair of pants with no holes in them?

17 for me

Almost 17 for me, but I had a '69 Coronet. I would never have been caught dead in a Bug. No offense to any Bug lovers, they just weren't my idea of a muscle car. ;) (Well, my '69 Coronet technically wasn't a muscle car, but it shore was purty!)

Funny story, the reason I left home so early was the friction between me and my mom's second husband, who INSISTED that the first car a girl should have is a VW Beetle. I disagreed, and found my Coronet and bought it. I had a part time job after school, and I'd been saving. Well, the you know what hit the fan, and I left, WITH my beautiful Coronet, and never looked back.
