The Principal's paddle was hanging on their wall as you walked in the door.
You know, that reminds me. When I was in high school, the house we lived in (which had no keys for the front door, so we never locked it) had a big grandmother weeping willow in the front yard. That tree had the best big limbs, perfect for climbing and resting on. I spent many an afternoon halfway up that tree, lounging in the shade with the sound of the leaves whispering in my ears... well, recently, I looked the address up on Google Earth to see what the old neighborhood looked like, and that tree was gone. Well, of course, it's been over 50 years, but it was still sad to see the bare ground where it used to be. Such a grand old tree.
It had some funny memories attached, too. One day, one of the neighbor boys was climbing out on a branch that was way too small to hold him. We all of a sudden heard a gigantic C-C-C-RACK! sound and down he came, with this gigantic long limb! Kerflump! ROFLMAO! My mom was due home from work soon, so he had to hustle to get rid of the evidence. I'll never forget the sight of him running down the street with this long willow tree limb under his arm, trailing out behind him. Meanwhile, I got my bottle of leather dye and climbed up to paint the fresh white wood a darker color, hoping Mom wouldn't notice. She however DID notice, and we got in big trouble. It sure was good times back then!

Yep. My adoptive mother worked at one for a whole week before getting fired. Not sure if it was for being too bossy, lazy, or drinking on the job. She was my arch enemy, as much as the Joker was to Batman. I have nothing nice to say about her.
It was the first diet soda. I had a fat girlfriend who drank it all the time, but I didn't, because it was "weird."
Has anyone else been having trouble getting on VU the past several days? I have it in my favorites, but when I click on it, it chugs and chugs and then does nothing. Won't go to VU's page, nothing. Sometimes, after a few minutes, it WOULD go to the main forum page, but I couldn't get logged in. Again, no response, just chug, chug, chug... nothing. This is the first time in about 3 days that I've been able to get on here.

We've all been having problems with VU. I'll get timeouts and super slow response and then it works again. It's sad...
Yup, remember mum drinking this nasty stuff. The best drink was sun tea, fill a glass jug with water put the tea bags in and sit it out in the sun, tasted so good with ice cubes cooling it down.
Mum told me, when I was in her tummy, she and some girl friends used a ouiji board. She didn't know if I was a boy or girl, she asked the question "AM I going to have a boy or girl?" and it spelled out a Girl. Then they proceeded of doing a seance.Who remembers the Ouija board game
Don't see people carrying around a rabbits foot anymore. They use to be so popular just like mood rings.

Been that way for me too. I think the more vendors that are postin the slower it gets sometimes just more people postin will do it. Have you noticed they're making a comeback? I've seen several people on TV wearing them. I used to love my hip-hugger bell-bottoms with heeled boots. I'm glad to see them again, I've missed them.
(Younger people today probably think it's something new, ROFL!)
And by the way, third time's the charm for me getting logged in here. Maybe whatever glitch there was is fixed now.
