Who is she and what did she do? Sock it to me???? Yup, I'm lost on this one :(

OMG! That reminds me of the girl we had working for us in the office one time who said, "What? Paul McCartney was in a band BEFORE Wings?" And she'd never heard of Beaver Cleaver, either. I guess if you didn't know Goldie Hawn, you don't know Beaver Cleaver. He was the little brother on the show "Leave it to Beaver." It's still on some of the oldie channels. Good show.

Enough candy to get SICK on, in fact! :p

I don't have a picture, but remember the wonderful smell of a handful of freshly sharpened pencils and a brand new Pink Pearl eraser? It almost made me WANT to do my homework! :)

Who knows where this clock came from

No photo description available.

I know that clock like I know my own name. Captain Kangaroo! Wow, I can't believe I actually remember it, but some things you just never forget.

This reminds me of going fishing with my Grandpa. He was a mighty fisherman. :) He had a "toy store" I later found out was a tackle shop, LOL! I loved all the brightly colored and shiny lures and stuff he had in little boxes in the glass cases. It was so much fun to browse, and he always gave me a few little trinkets.

Oh, boy, that was me! My birthday is in December, so I got my permit in December. At the end of our block, there was a grocery store with a butcher shop in the back, and they always had water pouring out in the back parking lot. In the winter, it made a really big ice rink, and that's the first place my mom took me in the Rambler station wagon to teach me how to steer out of a skid on ice. It was kind of fun, because the parking lot was wide open and there was nothing to hit, and I did learn some very important skills right off the bat. I'll never forget those late nights sliding around in the icy parking lot with my mother. She must have had nerves of steel. ;)

Dress shirts and ties, with shorts and knee socks, topped off with those hairy knees! I'm dyin' here, OMG! It looks like they forgot to finish dressing! That is ONE style that I'm not sorry disappeared!

I remember the chocolate/banana and strawberry flavors, although Mom and Dad usually just got the regular Quick. My Nana always had Ovaltine in her cupboard, so I had chocolate malted whenever we went to visit her. Remember getting an undissolved clump of powder in the back of your throat as you were chugging a glass? Cough City!

"Struggales?" "Sschool?"

And we had to learn spelling in school. :giggle:
