Always made sure to eat lunch when they were serving pizza, mashed potatoes, hot rolls, and the cinnamon rolls as they were the best eats. Other than those, I'd hop into the bed of a pickup truck and eat at the closest fast food place or just go for a ride and not eat.

I got scolded by a teacher because I was supposed to report to detention after eating lunch, and I was in the pizza line. The other option was so disgusting, nobody was in that line. I had pizza.

I'm sitting here, watching Ozzy Osbourne concerts on YouTube. It dawned on me that almost everyone back in the 80s carried lighters to concerts, even if they didn't smoke. Why? Because we didn't have cellphones with a flashlight function back then, and folks didn't carry flashlights into concerts. Heck, our phones didn't even fit in a pocket, y'all. Besides, ya might have needed that light if ya got passed a little something that wasn't lit.

The other thing is that... back in the 80s, smoking at concerts was normal. Hubby and I went to one about 6 years back, and they had a little section barricaded off, just for the smokers. Nowadays, they'd put those who vape in that little smokers pen.
