The Mighty Thor may not be as All-New, All-Different as some of the other books populating Marvel's post Secret Wars world, but when it comes to looking at a familiar story through a fresh new lens, few titles are as worthy. Jason Aaron and Russell Dauterman continue their excellent run, offering a trial, a wedding and plenty of thunder action in between.
The topic of worthiness has always been a Thor staple (it is written on the hammer, after all), but in these last few issues writer Aaron has really done a nice job in showcasing the intense scrutiny, and firmer resolve, that comes with Jane Foster holding the title. Whether it's Loki trying to ascertain who is under the mask or Odin trying to remove the head beneath it, there's no end to those who would see Thor stripped of her hammer. And much like Aaron managed to buck those real life critics who derided the change, Thor continues to hold her own against all comers.
