Dentist says I'm not to vape for four days. That's not happening. "Dry socket" sounds perfectly fine...aren't we all just supposed to worry about wet sockets?! If it's the other way around, I could've been making my toast WHILE I was bathing this WHOLE times...only something I've asked to do since ever I was a wee child!!

But, seriously, vaping after wisdom tooth extraction? Same as smoking? Four fucking days?

I understood all of that without even looking it up. Briefly considered changing my name. I don't see how vaping is like smoking...nothing burning, no tar and goop. Stay medicated LoopyNonUBBecky, it's the weekend. No toast. <3

I'm so sheltered! Had no idea 'til I looked it up last night. It just had me laughing, not bothered. How 'bout all the hosannas heaped upon the name Rebecca? In fifth grade, I did get pretty tired of all the "Oh my god, Becky, look at her butt"s, but I've made my peace. I went with my alter ego, Adrienne Kumquat, here 'cause a little of that's fun on the internet, and I've yet to make amends elsewhere in Vapedom - certainly not fleeing from our shared, beleaguered white girl name, HipOnTheNewSlangBecky.

But no one else weighed in on my dental dilemma? Was it just 'cause I used the quote function that you all went clam? Doc said he knows all about the differences between smoke and vapor, but was still super firm about nixing it... I dunno, but I'm rolling the dice ...

Um, good luck with that. I have experience with wisdom tooth extraction, but not with vaping or smoking at the same time and I couldn't say what might happen, except that while I was taking regular doses of the prescribed Advil and syringing out the socket faithfully, at worst I could have said I might have been a little uncomfortable at times while it was healing and that was about it. Nicotine apparently interferes with healing and I'm not sure I would have liked to try testing dry socket.

Yeah, the nicotine thing is what he mentioned (plus the sucking...no jokes!). I've already tested it just a bit, and I've got a few nicotine patches. I've smoked or vaped every single day since I was 14...
