You should be able to shape the contacts however you need
Sounds to me like the contacts need to be tweaked a bit. If the battery sits in there loose enough that it rattles you probably aren't getting a good connection either.

Will be MTL for me as well. So far I love it. Using an MF bridge with a drizzle coil. Just built the vapeshell but haven't used it yet. Also came with an insider, exocet, and north bridges.
Now I need a leather sleeve....$$$
A couple of prehistoric museum pieces right here. I got this Panzer clone, the good one, that's supposed to be better than the authentic, and this 454 big block in that bin full of stuff from the guy on Craigslist a while back. He seemed to know what he was doing and there was already a micro .12 build in it so I just got it glowing and wicked it up. Thoroughly cleaned and tuned up the mod and this is one great vape. 
I put a 20S in it, but when he was using it 25Rs were probably the pinnacle of 18650 muscle.
The build quality on both is awesome and I love the way the very top cap pops off and on the rda with perfect o-ring tolerances for dripping it A great restricted dtl vape and the mod hits much harder than one might think once you get it set up right.

Nice, i've been wanting an authentic for a long time. Love how the drip tip looks on it too.
Lemme look around but I may have 2 more panzer blackhawk you can have. Was gonna give them to pegleg Meg a while back but said she didn't need them. It's been a little while, but I read a couple things and saw a few videos where several years ago this stainless clone came out addressing some quirks with the authentic one at the time. There was also the Red Phoenix copper one, which I also got with this one, which was supposed to be best of all.
Apparently there were clones that ranged in quality. On this one, the pin floats just right. You push it all the way up with your thumb and screwing the atomizer on adjusts it perfectly. I do wish I had a better spring, but this one is working good. A SS one I got in a pack from Home Depot
