I have had doing stands somewat like this on my mind for a while now. Just havent come across the rite logs to use yet.Not a hand check, but I spend a large part of today building a couple of stands. Not perfect by any means, but over all I'm really happy with how they turned out

I too am super picky on the wood. If im gonna take the time to make it and put it on display the wrong wood without the age and character will ruin it.
I actually found the stump on the side of the road. It wasn't perfect to me, but I just said to hell with it, I've been waiting long enough, lol. I burnt it with a blow torch, and that helped bring out some grain.

Well, took all the rave and tried profile mesh. Almost hate to admit, but its really good. Here is the part I don't understand, comes in at .14, and I can't stand it at more than 60W? Idk, but @ .14 I should be able to have this baby @ at at least 100 watts? Am I missing something?

Mesh heats super fast. Most run the mesh around 40 or 50. The ofrf mesh can go a little higher than the wotofo meshWell, took all the rave and tried profile mesh.
