That is indeed an enormous bummer. See THIS THREAD for ideas. I had a Paranormal 250c I bought used from a guy on Reddit that started doing this. When I opened it up, lo and behold, somebody had been in there before me. The clasp on the ribbon cradle was broken off and a tiny piece of electrical tape was holding the cable against the contacts. That means the problem was the board and not the cable or the screen in this case. The guy disappeared, but Paypal got my money back even though I bought it family and friends.White screen of death
