Like we were talking about in the other thread. Nice n snug, but not super tight in the mesh and the wells. It won't flood even if you fill it up. Well, if you get it right up to the fill ports it might force some through when putting the cap back on.
In my experience, whatever that's worth, mesh strips require less wattage than wire coils at the same resistance. I take this as being because of the difference in mass and the way the metal is distributed throughout the heating element. I'm running mine at about 55-60.
Is that not a cool little device? Build quality is good by any mainstream standard too. Smok deserves a nod for that one.
The mesh tanks are by no means stuffed with cotton. I cut the "shoestrings" in half, and then fanned and trimmed the underside. I think I really overdid the fill on the first tank.
I had a problem with flooding on the first Zeus X tank I had. but only on the first fill. and only for the first hour or so of vaping it. Once the cotton expanded a little, problem solved. Times I've rewicked them since, I've just given them a little time for the cotton to "plump."
The other thing about lower wattage in the Zeus X Mesh is that the piece of mesh is so damn tiny! I use higher wattages on the Meshlock and TVL Reload RDAs I have going, because the mesh cuts are just larger, and they are lower resistance as well.
And yes, as long as the Alike doesn't start to leak after a while, I will get along famously with it. It does seem very well made, and is a great fit for my hand. It also works great at only about 25W, which I like for battery longevity and conservative use of e-liquid.
