Dammit boost, it looks even better in SS!
So far no leaks which is great, wicking is a little tricky to try and not get dry hits. It has a spit back guard in the chimney, not a big fan of those so I took it out with a carbide bit on a dremel, tricky but doable. I am getting better results now but will try smaller 3mm ID coils next time instead of the 3.5mm I used.

In BLACK they are only $20.
$15 of you use code FLASH25
However the stainless one is $23.99 MORE so even though it is polished stainless (looks 4 times better than brushed) due to price difference I will have to pass on the stainless.
Spit back guard? Mine didn't have one.
Even though I would also remove it as you have, I feel I have been short changed.
I want my spit back guard so I can remove it damn it!
Still fairly new to building so I'll share something that anyone with experience would already know;
Dual 26ga SS wire with 12 wraps 4mm is a BAD idea.
No flavor, 15 minute ramp up time.
hahaha
live n learn
However the dual 5/6 wrap 26/32ga Clapton 3.5mm works real well.
I also have no leaks on either the Beast or the Alpha BFT.
