I'm a genny head - so I'm excited to announce that my box is out for delivery as of 0735 CST, when it gets here, I'm going to start building right away.
Why am I a genny head you ask? Because I miss the SS mesh wicks. I have (undoubtedly found out) that SS wire + SS mesh are incompatible with one another. So back to Kanthal (for the purposes of SS mesh wicks), which is something I'm not too happy about.
Why they're incompatible - after completely oxidixing the mesh (and when I say oxidizing, I mean to the point of damn near burning a hole through some of it) no matter what I do, I always end up with a hot spot. Always, and it arcs off and burns holes in my mesh. Kind of makes a bit of sense though, 316 mesh + 316 wire = continuity - electricity flows (or attempts to) easily between them.

No I understand that it's an older item and I also understand that we didn't always pack things into boxes.
What I don't understand is it a price point like that Why didn't it come in a box? Why was an item like that which was that that price point not packaged in a box? what happens if the shop loses a screw or a bolt or something of that nature for that product then what?
that is one of the biggest reasons I think why people started ordering stuff from China. Because yeah it took a long time to get there but they didn't have to worry about something missing or being broken during shipment at 10 to $15. I guess that's what disappoints me and awful lot when I look at the vape industry and how much it changed that was one of those things that I can say that I've never gotten used to. High-end items coming wrapped in bubble wrap or maybe foam padding.

Follow-up to the vape mail, I built it once it'd dried and it's working nicely.
(Yup, Imgur thumbnails here, trying to save space and bandwidth)
Went for a simple 3mm hand-wrapped and spaced 26 AWG SS316L build for around 0.5 ohm
Kinda old-school here on the CoV Tempest with an old SS vase DT. It's got like a 1/4" bore.
After initial breaking in and fiddling with the airflows, it's settled down nicely at 255C.

The AF's are a bit different, with the bottom AF being fixed open, but with a bit of experimentation I got the side working in concert for a very nice vape. Not bothering with the top AF, all it'd do is cool ya vape.
Quite happy with mine, especially for $8.

I like a tight draw so I have the side closed. I'm still experimenting with top open or closed. All in all I like it. Really good flavor and doesn't get too hot. Not a big fan of the drip tip. And it is really easy to over squonk. I purposely tried to just to see what the limit was.

Oh I like R-DL too. Don't do MTL. Guess I just like it a little tighter. And it's not the shallow well that can cause leaking. It's the bottom airflow. Don't get me wrong. The way the airflow is on the deck sits up a decent amount. So it's not like one squeeze and it's flowing. You just need to pay attention a little more than others. I don't like the diameter of the drip tip. Just feels weird having something that wide between my lips.

One RDA I've bought recently that has surprised me at how great it is, is the YFTK Pocket RDA. 3FVape had it for less than $5.
Right now it's on an Aleader Bhive regulated squonker. I've had a hard time finding an RDA that works well on that mod for some reason, but this little Pocket RDA is phenomenal. Super good flavor, not too hot, restricted DL single coil.

So, the etching on this RDA...and the art on the box. What is it supposed to be? Every time I look at it I see the sad face of a very slightly frowning lion. Not sure how that squares up with the name "Aladdin."
I have not been convinced to become a Smok hater. They also weren't real high on my list of longed for new devices either. This one has an all new chip that's supposed to actuality be quite good. The 3 Smok mods I have are old(ish) and beat up and work fine. Business has been decent lately and for 33 bucks I was willing to give it a shot.

UPS guy just dropped off some batteries. I got a dozen of the OEM P26A black sheep are the called? I dunno.. anyways, thanks again @gadget! for quoting me when IMR fixed the bug. I was only able to add one to my cart but wanted more. The next day they fixed it so I could get more for that super low price. I got two of each Sony VTC5D's and Samsung 20S'. All these are for mech(like) squonking.
Yea I bought 10 of the black sheep when IMR had them on sale about a month ago. Great batteries.
