HI
Been happily vaping for 2 months. I find the whole ohm, watt, volt thing very confusing. I understand the role that eliquid plays in throat hit but I've noticed that if I haven't used my Ego in an hour or so my first hit is exactly what I'm looking for . I understand that I can't chain vape (well, I don't understand really, its just an observation I've made). So my question is how important is equipment in TH-more or less important than the juice? How can I get a consistent TH from my device(Ego twist, some BCC Evods, Protank Mini 2 and BDC Aspires)
I would be very grateful to solve this mystery.
Thanks

Hi @cjcaddy and congrats on making the switch!

This is common with Ego's. I've been using them for over 2 years and get this same thing all the time. The battery does have some to do with it.. but mostly it's in the juice. Higher PG = more throat hit, higher nic = more throat hit. Check the pg/vg on your juice.. if its more than 40% VG you are most likely slow wicking. Meaning... when you chain vape the juice is too thick to fully absorb into the wick quickly. When you haven't taken a vape for a while the wick is good and saturated.

Ohm = the resistance of the coil... low ohm = hotter vape
Volts/Watts = this is the amount of electrical current being pushed to the coil. higher Volt/Watt = hotter vape.

So, with me preferring a cooler vape, I won't have any use for the new 30 - 50 - 100 watt devices coming on the market. Correct? I just bought a few rda's, haven't even made coils yet. Bad idea?
