The Slim Shot ( no longer the swan shot.lol)

1000002714.jpg

Poor swans.lol..will take the word Slim from the swan box though:)..so swan slim cigarette filters+nicotine shots= The slim shot...

Either the dumbest idea known to man for the week, or something worth pursuing..

Still faffing around with it..waiting on an order of 100% pg nic shots...I only had a few pulls and yes, there's something here, which has led me to continue..but need lots more trials, and hole placements and the high pg..

looking for any input...

Asked ai to do me an explainer but like everything ai could be spewing me nonsense....

DIY Nicotine Inhaler System — How It Works & Why

This is a homemade, non-combustion nicotine delivery method designed for stealth use, harm reduction, or nicotine management — without smoking or vaping. It mimics the principle behind commercial nicotine inhalers, but uses common materials in a cost-effective, minimal setup.

---

🔹 The System — Overview

The system uses:

Standard cigarette-style filter tips

High-PG, freebase nicotine e-liquid (ideally 12–24mg/mL)

The hollow plastic or cardboard tube that the filter tips come in

Menthol crystals for a cooling throat hit and enhanced airflow.

Airholes placed over menthol crystals

🔧 How It’s Made

1. A filter tip is lightly soaked with 1–2 drops of nicotine e-liquid (freebase, high-PG).

2. The soaked tip is inserted back into its original tube (or similar straw/tube).

3. The user inhales through the open end of the tube, pulling air across the soaked filter.

Air flows through the nicotine-saturated filter and menthol, picking up microscopic particles and vapors of nicotine and carrying them into the mouth and throat.

menthal crystals can be added inside the tube to simulate a cooling "hit," enhance airflow, and mimic the sensation of smoking.

---

🧬 How It Works — The Science

Nicotine absorption occurs primarily through the oral and throat membranes (buccal absorption), not the lungs.

Because there’s no combustion or heating, the system avoids producing harmful byproducts like tar, carbon monoxide, or formaldehyde.

Using freebase nicotine ensures that the molecule remains more active in a high-pH environment — ideal for oral absorption.

High-PG e-liquid is key because it:

Carries nicotine effectively in vapor form, even without heat

Has a thinner consistency that wicks well into filters

Provides a stronger throat hit, simulating the feedback smokers associate with satisfaction

⚙️ Why It Works

Similar to a licensed nicotine inhaler, this method delivers small, controlled doses of nicotine without requiring combustion, heat, or electronics.

The design supports habitual reinforcement (hand-to-mouth action, draw resistance, inhalation), which helps satisfy the psychological side of addiction.

It's discreet, odorless, portable, and low-cost — suitable for places where vaping or smoking aren’t possible or allowed

I did ask ai how to flavour it. And it responded to add flavouring concentrates to the tip of the filter...and let it soak for a few minutes...lol

Cheers:)

Work in project
It looks like you were onto something.
A vaporless ecig...

A D.I.Y. vaporless ecig that can be made at home.

It looked like a fun project.

Thanks, will add more data once I do more experiments..just waiting on 100% pg nic shots..
Thank you.

I'd love to know how this works out.

Will the filter tip acting as the fill port be able to handle multiple uses?

Kind of like how you used to be able to rewick old Kanger coil heads to use them a couple of extra times?

This is something that you could use in places where you'd want no one to notice.

Especially if you were able to implement something that looks like a straw but is a little thicker as the ecig part.

It would look like you have a straw in your mouth even if someone did happen to catch a glance.

There are people who walk around chewing on straws so it's really not an abnormal thing to see.

Yeah this also crossed my mind..I dont want to be having to put a new filter in every session...got to save the swans:) I asked ai and it said it would need to replace a new filter often, but it recommended stainless steel mesh rolled up into a filter ..which can be cleaned and reused hundreds of time...maybe adding paper roach in the tube where you hold it like a cigarette, keep mimic the cig, and a tenth of a swan filter to stop shit falling through...debris and liquid etc from hitting your mouth..and replace them regularly..saving swans by only cutting and using a tenth or a 5th of one..

An Historical facepalm might be around the corner.lol

🔬 How Stainless Steel Mesh Holds Nicotine Liquid (PG-Based)

Stainless steel mesh holds nicotine liquid using capillary action and surface tension — no magic, just basic physics.

---

✅ 1. Capillary Action (Wicking)

When you roll the mesh tightly, the tiny spaces between the wires act like mini-capillary tubes.

When you add a drop of nicotine liquid (PG-based), the liquid is pulled into these gaps.

The tighter and finer the mesh (e.g. 300–400 mesh), the better it “wicks” the liquid.

The liquid spreads out through the mesh rather than dripping.

💡 This is the same principle behind how paper towels soak up water or how vape coils work in traditional e-cigarettes — but here, you’re doing it with air, not heat.

---

✅ 2. Surface Tension (Holding in Place)

PG (propylene glycol) has a high surface tension, so:

It doesn’t easily fall out of the mesh unless you over-saturate it.

The fine wire structure of the mesh holds the liquid in place through adhesion and tension, like water clinging to a sponge.

This means:

A few drops of nicotine liquid stay suspended inside the mesh

When you draw air through it, tiny amounts of nicotine are pulled into the airflow as vapor droplets or aerosol — even without heat

✅ 3. Why It Works Without Heat

PG-based freebase nicotine is:

Volatile enough to release into the air in tiny amounts at room temp

Especially when air is pulled quickly over it (during your inhale)

This is the same principle used in:

Commercial nicotine inhalers (like Nicotrol or Voke)

Essential oil diffusers that release scent without heat

So: the mesh doesn’t need to burn or heat up — it just needs to hold the liquid and let air pass through.

---

🧪 How to Use It Properly

Only use 1–2 drops at a time (too much = leaks)

Use 300–400 mesh grade — fine enough to hold liquid, open enough to draw air

Replace or clean the mesh every few days to prevent clogging

✅ Summary

> Stainless steel mesh holds nicotine liquid through:

Tight capillary gaps that wick and trap the liquid

Surface tension that keeps the liquid suspended

Controlled airflow that gently lifts nicotine into your mouth as you inhale

No electricity, no smoke, no vapor — just physics + good design.
