Two things set The Walking Dead apart from most other zombie franchises - the large ensemble cast and the years-long, slowly unfolding storyline. At this point the Walking Dead cast is large enough to rival Game of Thrones, and just as prone to dying in tragic and horrific ways. Look for that trend to continue as AMC debuts the spinoff series Fear the Walking Dead later this month.
