There's a 5 in the morning now? When did that start?

My kid woke up at 5am this morning and insisted on getting out all her peppa pig toys. She wanted to take them swimming so I filled up a big bowl of water and let her have at it. Her mom should be up in an hour and will be thrilled with the mess. My brain doesn't start operating at full capacity until around 8am so I can't be held accountable for her actions or mine. That's the story I'm sticking with. Pray for me. Or don't. Happy whatever day it is.

That's about the time my little bugger is up as well. Mommy just woke up, took one look at the room and said "both of you... out of my face now." breakfast and paw patrol then I'm on a flight and gone for two days leaving trail of destruction behind me. Daddy gotta do what daddy gotta do.

My youngest gets up between 2am and 4am just to make sure mom and I didn't run away usually just a quick smile and cuddle and she is back out. Then the 6am bum rush comes. Both my 1 year old and 3 year old get up between 6am and 630am. Just when daddy is drinking his coffee and vaping away and mommy is swatting at the alarm clock. They terrorize their playroom and i get yelled at. Its not fair to us dads we want our little ones to play and have fun. Plus i am affraid i won't come out alive lol :)

As someone who loved her daddy very much, I think you guys are awesome! Spoil them and let them make messes and just spend time with them. They will cherish those memories long after you are gone. I know I do... I miss my daddy, but I cherish all the memories he gave me.:) Even when he had to whoop my butt:tantrum::teehee:

it just pains me to see how much of her life is rigorously controlled. She can't do shit. I mean, she's a smart little monkey and can do a lot of shit but not if she wants to. Nearly every detail of her little life is dictated by other people. If she starts fomenting dissent and launches a rebellion, could I really blame her? I guess that's what with the limited time I have with her, when she asks, the answer is usually "sure baby, go ahead"

I know it's hard to deny her anything...I always feel I have so little to offer her whatever i can offer her she gets, but she's a damn good human being and is so gratefull for whatever she gets.....she was twice the human being I'll ever be the moment she was born.
