Hi guy's , I bought a used Therion 75 BF and it functions fine I'm really liking it. But when I change atty's it won't ask me if it's a new coil or not , it reads the resistance ,displays it, and it's right on the money there.
I don't know squat about using Escribe but I did download it and changed a couple of screen themes but I can't seen to figure out how to get it to freaking ask me if I have changed atty's or not...
Is there a trick to this ?, if so please tell ( but go slow ),,,,,, it's bugging the piss outta me. :xD: :headbang: :xD:

Do DNA mods always ask? My non DNA doesn't ask when in VW mode. Only for TC.

Didn't try changing it in TC ,never crossed my mind but you might be right .
I've only used it in VW mode, when I do an SS build i'll see what it does in TC maybe that's it idk.

In most regulated devices.. ohm rate only need to be known by the mod for TC calculations..... it uses a cold read or entered value for a baseline constant.t to compare to live ohm .to calculate temperature.... VW modes don't care because all Ohm does is determine required voltage output to achieve set wattage... VW uses ACTUAL live ohm and battery voltage to calculate.

:yes:I knew I was missing something here , now it all makes sense to me .
I would have figured it out eventually , so THX guy's y'all just saved me from spending the rest of the year hitched to escribe.
Now i get to kick the tires on this thing .
May not sound exiting to some but for a mech user this is a whole new universe.... y'll have a :goodnight:.

Imo as a mech user you ahead of the game.... I'm glad I started on mechanical.... heck only reason I got a regulated mod.. was to simplify building.... now I can build at any ohm I chose between .15 and over 3ohms to get my 15 to 25 watt vapor. Not stuck with 1ohm plus minus a wrap.

The other thing is even in TC it doesn't always ask. If the difference is greater than a certain percentage, the DNA chip assumes it's a new coil and just locks in the new resistance (I'm talking about TC). In Power Mode, the mod doesn't need to keep track of cool/room temperature resistance.

The DNA chip also monitors the coil(s) in TC as they cool and will adjust the cold resistance if it detects it's different than what it locked in. This is called refinement, which is why Evolv suggests you don't lock the resistance in TC (that shuts refinement off). As coils age/break-in the cold resistance can change.

Cheers,
Steve
