I was in a b&m looking for something and struck out and just decided to pick up a mech mod, I was a little Leary of them for a while don't know why. simple threaded pipe style. It's "the Manhattan" And for an rda I chose the "little boy" the two cheapest clones he had just to test the water (my choices were $20 or $140 for the rda) the mod does say made in USA unless that's another cloned detail. The screws were cheap, and stripped which made the coil loose which changed the resistance and vape every time I 're juiced. No reason too freak out though. I just happened to have extra metric ss hex drive screws, nice and tight! And there's not a whole lot that can go wrong with this thing. Now I would be willing to spend a little more for a mechanical just to have a couple. A little more. Anything anybody like or dislike about magnetic fire butto
ns? Or number of posts on the rda?

I don't like magnets, I keep breaking them. Broke 2 pairs of gold plated magnets in one night and they are not exactly cheap for what they are.

I prefer silver plated springs and have upgraded most of my mods, they are not as smooth as magnets but definitely easier to care and maintain. I also like a stiff throw of a strong spring, as I prefer mods with recessed switches not locking rings. One of the main reasons I don't use my Able is because I don't like having to unlock the switch.

As for RDA's it all depends on how you like to vape and your mood. In my opinion 2 post RDA's give the best combination of flavour and vapour with unrestricted airflow, clamps and postless designs also offer a lot of value against the more traditional 3/4post or split middle post designs.

Thanks, if this has a locking ring I don't know where it is or how to use it, I don't think I'll break the magnet anytime soon though I treat this thing like a stick of dynamite. Because of all hype I guess

Yeah for $20 I got a clone no question. Even though it says made in USA. And I didn't even know there was whole bunch of b.s. surrounding these clones, pretty funny! It's just a little aluminum tube threaded at both ends.

I quite like magnets myself, while other people despise them.

I mainly own clones myself, and mostly vape regulated but do enjoy using mechs from time to time. Some of these do say 'made in the USA', they will clone everything-China does not care about copyright infringement.

It does sound like the screws were cheap, I am glad you have replaced them though, check the resistance is not fluctuating though now even with the replacements.

Post holes- I really like velocity decks since they come out, but learnt on 2 and 3 post designs. Again, this is a preference thing, so whichever you like, go for. A velocity style deck does make it easier to fit thicker coils in though vs a 2 or 3 post design.

I thought velocity was a brand, I'm going to take a look at them later. Maybe that's something that would interest me. Thanks!
