Stupid newbie mistake. I mucked my barn while vaping... Bad idea all the saw dust getting sucked up into my coil. I didn't realize it while I was doing it. I Sat down after grabbed my mod ugh it was awful.had to wash everything change coil dump juice. I'll never make that mistake again

Naw...Bacon grease on Everything is GOOD!..:inlove:..

No, really not... when the mod gets greasy, you don't know if it's the grease, or your atty is leaking!

Meh at 3mg not a problem for me...

I'm only a little over that, around 3.7mg currently -- but I use the Flash additive in my mixes, so even that 3.7mg is very tingly, in the mouth -- that's how I can tell if my coil is spitting, when I get that hot tingle on my tongue! No way do I wanna lick that!

I cover my Drip Tip with a rubber cap when doing the lawn and yard work after the first time I got a mouth full of dust and dirt. Luckily it was only inside the drip tip from being in my pants pocket but once was enough to make sure it never happens again.

I'm surprised no one has come up with an rta or something that has a replaceable air filter in the bottom of it. Something that could be easily replaced while filtering out the air drawn in especially for dl hits since it's going straight into the body. I'm sure a filter would cause some restriction but it wouldn't have to be a full blown cigarette filter or anything.

Last time I did a full barn mucking (pole barn, dirt floor) was with a bobcat and a ventilator mask. Sawdust was the least of my worries, used the pink 3m filters to combat the heavy ammonia odor. Definitely not a vape friendly environment. I can imagine getting sawdust all gunked up in there was nasty, stuck all over the damp wick and everything. Ugh.

An air filter would clog with liquid and restrict the draw like coils clogging. I have a tank that a metal grill to stop spitting but that is below the drip tip and although it will keep things in and out doesn't stop particulates in the drip tip.

It's funny; a while back I had a coil that was misbehaving, spitting with every draw. So I fitted a screen under the driptip -- which made the juice-in-mouth problem even WORSE! Only solution was to re-coil; even a fresh wick didn't help.

Painting. Don't vape while painting, the fumes from even latex paint will funkify your vape and make you clean it out and re-wick it.

This is good to know; I'll be painting one of the bedrooms soon; now I know to leave my vape in another room! :D

I meant a filter along the air inlet on something like an rta/rda with bottom airflow. Not a filter at the mouthpiece that might clog with juice, one to filter the incoming air before it reaches the wick/coil. It wouldn't keep stuff from getting into the drip tip, falling into it, but would keep dusty stuff from getting sucked up through everything.

I'm sure there's reasons for it not to work, but the idea would be a good one if it were possible without side effects like making the draw dysfunctional.

Not from experience but vaping while doing your nails.
Had a pink smear on my car stereo panel from a long gone ex-gf.

Being in a kitchen where a lot of frying was happening has contaminated the inside of my rda before. Made it taste like shit for a little while. Even had the fabric softener in my clothes contaminate it after having my vape in my pocket. Would've never thought of some of this stuff before.

I've lost so many fish trying to put my mod down or in my pocket when I get a bite. Never come close to losing mine though, my mod comes before a damn fish!

I build powerlines and mostly work on gravel/dirt roads.
I'm not sure if it is the gravel road dust or what, but when I vape at work I always have buggered up black shit on the screens of my Vapmod coils.
When I am at home not so much.

At least those coil heads are less than $0.25 a piece I just change them out every couple of days.

Hate to be the asshole who says this but oh well. The title says things you shouldn't vape while doing but should be things you shouldn't do while vaping..
Just saying...
Good thing this is a Vaping forum... rather than an grammar and spelling forum then.

Why does e juice taste so bad as a liquid and so good as a vapor?

Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk

In my case, I'm pretty sure it's that Flash I add to get TH -- when juice pops in my mouth, it actually burns -- not hot, just burns my mouth the way that pepper does. It's only 3.5mg, so I don't think it's because of the nicotine, or at least, the nic is only a small part of it... think it's that Flash. And it feels greasy, which is kinda icky.

For me It the PG and VG. I have the same gag reaction from straight liquid I get with most alcoholic drinks. Only takes a sniff with whiskey.. At least vaping doesn't have that affect. But a big popped drop on the tonque can cause a heave. Might be why I have issues with NON tobacco vapes.

it doesn't gross me out quite that badly, but it does make me take a big chug of my drink, if it's a small pop... a mouthful makes me run for a sink to spit and rinse out my mouth! If it gets on my lips, it's time for a tissue!

But the drink-chugging is only since I got down to 3.5mg.... when I was still vaping over 5mg, then even a pop caused the spitting/rinsing.

I know this thread is kinda old, but I'm new to this forum and have horses too. I get the disposable rubber tops like vape stores use on their testers and put those over my drip tip when I muck the barn, etc. It cuts down on A LOT of the gunk getting into my gear!

I had a few buddies that i live with go out and shovel a few tons of sawdust out of a truck while they were vaping here and there. They were asking me why they were getting weird hits and I only had to take one look at their air intake holes on their tanks lol.

Interesting thread :p I work in a Sign shop, so vaping while I run my CNC router leads to all kinds of interesting surprises...

The drip tip was the least of my problems that day. My air intake holes were just nasty
