throat hit weak

been using a vaporshark with a billow v2 for a while now and the throat hit is hit or miss. I do make my own fluids so maybe use more PG? I do like a good throat hit, but PG seems like it just makes things rougher rather than actually giving more of a throat hit. should I move my coils closer to the air holes or further away? What all could be causing this weaker throat hit? I've been racking my brain and it's almost like there's too many answers so think I need a second or third mind to help me narrow down this solution. Could the screws getting worn out be an issue?

6 wraps 2mm ID dual coil
always works out around .4 ohms (.39-.42)
generally use 32.5w

PG really doesn't produce much TH. It's just produces more heat compared to VG. Nic is what really produces TH. The coils further away from the air holes will produce more TH. Just don't go too far, It can be very harsh.

I moved the coils up a bit and can't really tell the difference. I notice after cleaning the coils and re-wicking them the throat hit will drop immensely sometimes.

Are you lung hitting? What's your nic strength and VG percentage?

If by lung hitting you mean sucking in a big mouthful then inhaling than yea. I believe I use around 80% vg, but it could be 70%. I can't remember which right off hand. I'd have to check my notes to see which I used with this batch, but I wanna say 80.

Vapers tek makes some high quality throat hit nic. You could maybe try that on your next nic order.

that could work. I've weaned myself down to 5mg and have no intentions of going back up, but I miss my TH. When I first started vaping...5 or 6 years ago i think now I used 36 mg strength flavors and that stuff kicked like a mule and I loved it. Granted this was with those old 510 titans from totally wicked lol so who knows how much nic i was actually getting lol. I remember the first time I used my old copper stingray with 18mg flavor and I had the worst coughing fit cause it hit like a train lmao.

VT's Throat Hit nic is just old nic from Chemnovatic. It has more odor, not more th imo. Myfreedomsmokes kicks like a mule but at 5 mg probably not much. The only way to acheive more th is to vape with an eGo at 18mg Lol

Andrea acheives more th with Flash from Flavourart. She swears by it. I never tried it.

Close your air vents down a bit. Take hard sharp draws.
Add 2% DW.
Add 2%vodka, look out will add a tongue bite.
Best if all, add more nico % chain vape less..

That would be more mouth to lung hitting.

Lung hitting would be inhaling sharply, direct to your lungs, until you can't inhale anymore.. Not filling your mouth, then inhaling it.

No vodka allowed in my house sadly. I'm a former alcoholic and vodka was my drink of choice lol. Also I don't really chain vape much anymore. What's DW?

I've heard good things about VT's nic and mfs nic. I'm more familiar with vt than mfs so might try them first. Been getting my nic from a store nearby that let's me buy my base stuff from them. The owner is kind of a douche though and he's been at the store more and more so I might just switch to buying online. It's a shame though as I prefer to help local business, but since he got rid of the employees I liked I think I'll take my business elsewhere
