What in the juice causes throat/lung hit. Asking because I have some juices I cant feel at all, others I can Bearly take. All 12 nic, 90/10 vg/pg, all from the same place, being used on the same device?

Throat hit is predominantly from your nicotine level and/or PG content. What 90/10 juice are you using that is giving you an unbearable TH, and which one can you barely feel?

Juice is from a local shop. Carmel mocha cafe I can barely feel. Straw/banana and carmel/vanilla/sweet cream seem very harsh. I ve had 6-8 other flavors and they all seem about even and fine

I vape strictly 0mg and I've noticed this as well.
earthy flavors tend to hit harder and some choke me out while fruity flavors offer great vape and no choke outs.

More pg = harder throat hit.
More nicotine = harder throat hit.
Citrus flavors = harder throat hit.
Dry throat = harder throat hit (hence why many taste harsher in the morning)

Sometimes it also just depends on the venders ingredients.
90/10 vg/pg may be claimed, but this could just have been the base. Many flavorings use PG and the nicotine could have PG in it before being added to the base (if they used pre-diluted nicotine). Could also be a matter of artificial vs natural flavoring.

That seems odd to me.
Strawberry and Banana have only ever given me a very slight throat hit, with banana less then strawberry. I've had these two flavors on their own and mixed 50/50. They aren't citrusy flavors like lemon or orange which are much stronger in terms of throat hit.
Caramel and Vanilla are non-existant on the throat hit scale to me, giving no hit at all. I'm using a French Vanilla Ice Cream right now and all I can feel in my throat is warm air.

Idk, im stumped too. It's not the end of the world, guys I'll just have to remember what flavor is in there, and adjust how deep I inhale:)

I mix menthol crystals with vg and water to make a menthol liquid. I add a couple percent to my diy juice. Mint adds a flavor, but menthol does not. You don't taste the menthol, but you feel it in your throat and lungs. I add it to all my mixes to get that throat and lung hit I'm looking for. Before I made my juice I bought straight menthol juice and added some to my other flavors. Might be an option to consider.
