Throat Tickling and mega splutter

Good afternoon fellow vapers.

This is my 1st post, so hopefully I've chosen the right section.

My current DIY issue, (as they seem to mount up constantly), is the tickle I'm getting in the back of my throat, when using my RTA and RDA's.

As it stands I'm using:

TFV4 - 26g Kanthal reading 0.43ohms.
Orchid V4 - 26g Kanthal reading 0.40ohms
Velocity Clone - 26g Kanthal reading 0.77ohms

I'm running all at around 40w as was advised to by my local vape shop. The
flavour is brilliant, but after a few pulls I feel a tickle in my throat and soon after I begin to splutter like a maniac.
It doesn't hurt my throat in any way, but its a real pita!
I have also tried vaping at 30w and still get the same annoying tickle. If I take it down any further the flavour goes to pot, as it's not hot enough to heat to wick properly.

I'm using juice that I have made, it's 3mg 70/30 VG/PG.

Any advice from people who have over come this or a similar issue would be greatly appreciated.

Jack

Are you solely vaping or also using combustible tobacco? Some people have trouble with adjusting to vaping coming from smoking, if that's the case.

Otherwise, the PG may be too high. PG adds to the throat harshness sensation, while VG is generally smoother and makes larger clouds. You may want to try a different blend.

Are you vaping sour juices like sour strawberry or citrus flavors? In my experience, tart flavors tend to irritate my throat after a while also.

So, try some new juice, some new ratios. Good luck

Thanks folks. Seem to be all sorted. Persevered with 30 watts and have since got used to it. Very little coughing or spluttering. I'm vaping 3mg juice btw.
