Following a bidding war between the big four networks, the time-traveling action adventure drama Time has received a pilot production commitment from NBC.
Described as Back to the Future meets Mission: Impossible, Time is the brainchild of The Shield creator Shawn Ryan (The and Supernatural creator Eric Kripke. Deadline reports the one-hour show involves "an unlikely trio traveling through time to battle unknown criminals in order to protect history as we know it." Ryan and Kripke will write the script together and executive produce the show for Sony Pictures TV and Davis Entertainment.
