Time to place my first order, questions?

So I financially can't support the amount of juice I go through and the current retail price. I typically vape makers like ANML Looper, Immortal Fog, Plumper's, Suicide Bunny. I enjoy fruity flavors and love strawberry milk/gram juices and typically 80vg/20pg juices. Seems the 30's pg makes my throat hurt. Usually 6nic to 3nic. I switch back and forth.

Ive researched for weeks and read so much stuff I think I have my list ready and plan on making purchase tomorrow morning. I don't want to cheat on cheap stuff so Ive decided on NudeNic in a vg base. If my list below seems off or you have other recommendations please shoot them at me. Your help and time is much appreciated.

1. myfreedomsmokes starter kit with 250ml of vg and 250ml of pg
2. Extra 250ml of vg (thinking i will use more vg than pg obviously)
3. 250ml NudeNic 100mg/mL Nicotine VG Base
4. Various flavors from flavor arts such as gram, cheesecake, creams, strawberries, vanilla, etc etc
5. Few extra 10ml containers for mixing.


Missing anything? Nic base vg sound like good idea?

VG nic base is much thicker and can be more difficult to mix with. I mix for a friend that vapes 70VG, and my nic base is in PG, no issues for her stuff. I think for starting out and getting the hang of DIY, and deciding if you like to, then you've got a good start with this. The only thing I perceive to happen quickly, might be running low on VG sooner.

FlavourArt is a GREAT choice for fruits and creams (including vanillas, I find them creamy). If there's a fruit flavor you like, chances are you'll really like FA fruits. I never vaped much in fruity flavors until I started mixing with FA.

On another note, they don't make a Graham or Cheesecake flavor... did you mean TFA?? If so, get their Cheesecake Graham crust. Its better than the plain one. Some of the newer bottles from TFA actually do say Fa (small A). That can get confusing when we all use abbreviations for mixes.

Oh... get some glass amber bottles to split up your nicotine, put those bottles in the freezer, leaving out only what you'll use in about a month. When you need a new one, let it come to room temp.

ALWAYS shake your nic and your flavors prior to mixing. :)

Get an extra 120ml or 250ml bottle for down mixing your 100mg/ml nic to 50mg/ml.
Much safer to work with.
I prefer PG NIC Base easier not having to work with thick syrup and having to heat up my NIC every time I mix.
That and I'm using a 70/30VG mix anyway.
1ml Glass Leur Lock Syringes for "the flavors that eat rubber plungers".
Cheaper on Ebay (from China), may as well order some right away as it takes about a month to get them.
You can get 12ml, (or other) plastic syringes from Tractor Supply, if you have one near by.
Some also carry 1 gal USD PG for pretty cheap.

Starter kits, meh, I feel they're way overpriced.
Probably get a gallon each of PG and VG both from Essential Depot for the price you'd pay for a kit.

Oh yeah... are you mixing with syringes or by weight? I didn't see any syringes listed.

I started with syringes but now mix by weight and will never go back, soooooo much better.

I just started DIY about a month ago and love it but the one thing that sucks is having enough empty bottles around, cleaning empty bottles is no fun. Keep that in mind as it was the major roadblock I ran into, so many recipes, so little bottles.....lol.

You are getting way more nic than you need if you just want to test the DIY waters, 250ml NudeNic 100mg/mL Nicotine will net close to 4200 ml or ejuice. Maybe go for the 50 ml which is $24 less. 50 ml of 100mg nic will net you about around 850 ml of diy. Better yet order this is the nic strength and vg/pg ratio you want: http://www.nudenicotine.com/product/3-36mgnicotinebase/ saves you some money having to buy the vg, pg and nic separately so you can dip your toes into the diy waters without spending a bunch.

I started off with a small order of about $40 for some flavors and a nic base of 3 mg in a 60/40 blend to see if diy was for me. Now that I know I love diy I don't even want to mention how much I spent :eek:

OK so I skipped the whole starter kit package and went with some of your guys suggestions.

Total order was $113. I ordered 1 gal of vg and 1 gal of pg from Essential Depot. Grabbed 120ml of 100mg nic from nudenic and 2 extra amber bottles to store nic in freezer. I went after the main flavorings im looking to master.

The only thing left is a digital scale. I was wrong, my wifes scale is on only 0.1 and I need 0.01.

I really appreciate everyones advice and feedback.

Oh, for VG, and PG, I'm using those squeeze bottles for mustard and ketchup, instead of syringes. I got mine for a few $ at Walmart.
